Adding to the other daily comic communities, is Foxtrot. The first strip will be posted this Friday, the 10th of April, on the 38th anniversary of the strip's syndication debut.

For anyone unfamiliar with the strip:

FoxTrot is an American comic strip written and illustrated by Bill Amend. The strip launched on April 10, 1988, and it originally ran seven days a week. From December 31, 2006 onwards, FoxTrot has only appeared on Sundays.

The strip revolves around the daily lives of the Fox family, composed of parents Andrea (Andy) and Roger and their children, Peter, Paige, and Jason. It covers a wide range of subject matter, including spoofs of pop culture fads, nerd culture, complex math, and popular consumer products.

This community was created because the administration at aussie.zone continues to let itself be a Nazi bar, arguing for keeping literal Nazi rhetoric and never removing racist users. If you would like a place to discuss Australia that's a bit more palatable, stop on by.

Exactly what it sounds like. This is an organised place to find other plant nerds who want to trade seeds, cuttings, and live plants.

Yeah I just created the community on one instance and now the instance is shutting down so, making it again on lemmy.cafe instead.

We actually had some posts already on the old community which was awesome to see. I know it's a bit tedious but I hope those of you who liked it and contributed join back!

(Not sure if this kind of post is technically in the spirit of "new communities", especially since I literally made the same post like a week or so ago but, I'd hate to see the budding community die because of things outside my control)

I just checked out this community from lemmy.world and found that it has half of the subscribers it has as viewed on piefed.social (3.6k vs. 1.7k). Something happened. On closer investigation, it seems that almost all piefed.social subscribers have been purged - so I'm doing some advertisement to try and rebuild. I have also pinged rimu.

This does not seem to be affecting other piefed.social communities.
