Don't get me wrong tattoos are great I have seen very neat ones. But I have also seen people who can barely afford anything or just down on their luck get a tattoo? Where are the priorities at?

I am a tradesman with a lot of technical skills with some specialized skills in short supply (at least in the US) with a little less than a decade of experience. My partner is a skilled social worker with more than a decade of experience.

We cannot afford a golden visa in any country.

We are at least 3rd generation Americans, and do not have the right to claim citizenship in any other country without going through the immigration and naturalization process there.

So I get ads are terrible, obviously. I run ad-blockers all the time. But people also get angry at paywalls. So that leaves me wondering, if not through ads or subscriptions, how is a news publisher supposed to sustain itself?

For example, take the price of RE9: Requiem (Deluxe) in comparison to major currencies and notice that it costs LESS than from the Western world: (Why is that the case?)

Now take the exact same game in "Western" money, it costs even MORE :

Like, why is it so expensive? I would say the US one costs more as sales tax isn't accounted for (until checkout) on their store front while VAT is included on both UK & EU store fronts via steam.

Do people actually care if a rich, beautiful girl dates a poor guy? Do people actually care if a 10/10 woman dates an "ugly" guy? People will see couples like that and say, "He's out of her league." Do people actually care about this? If Jessica Chastain, Angelina Jolie, or Alexandra Daddario dated a 25-year-old man (or woman) who works at a grocery store while attending college, would people actually care, judge, and look down on it? (Real people, not just keyboard people.)

Hi, with the summer getting closer i want to buy a pair of sunglasses but i have no idea where to start, there's too many models (and i basically only know the classic rayban in photo and the aviators) so i'd like some suggestions.

My face shape is oval, maybe rectangular but im not 100% sure.

I'm oriented in buying second hand so i'll be saving money (ideally i would like to spend below 100€) and also i don't want to be bothered if they get scratched or damaged (since im going to the beach often, playing like beach volley and shit).

I live in a socialist society, so basically everything is free. I don’t need money, so what’s to stop me from saying “fuck you” to my family and community, since I don’t have to work? My wife and I got invited to our friends’ child’s birthday party. It is frozen themed and costumes are encouraged (for adults and children). I know next to nothing about Frozen. Any ideas for costumes for a mid 30s guy? Something that would hopefully not be too hard to put together?

I will be moving soon, and I want get some good, quality cables that are certified by their respective thing (e.g. USB-IF for USB cables, VESA for DP cables I think) and compliant with relevant standards, since the drawer of unlabelled mystery cables is not a solution that I want to continue with. I would rather that the cables be compliant with relevant standards and preferably have clear labeling/indication of spec (but most unfortunately don't have that).

What are the best:

• USB-C 240W charging cables?
• USB-C 40Gbps data transfer cables? (USB4 or TB3/4)
• DisplayPort cables?
• HDMI cables?

On Reddit, I see hundreds of posts gushing over Anker as the holy grail of USB cables, but then there are conflicting reports of people unhappy with Anker (bad customer service, they broke the cable, sub-brand Eufy leaking security cam footage, etc.) and preferring other brands instead. For DisplayPort cables, lots of people seem to like Club3D and Cable Matters, the latter is also recommended for HDMI cables. Many random Amazon brands are also thrown around, but those look like they're from bots.

It's hard to tell whether any one if made by a person or a not. Anker bots are definitely out there, I found a thread talking about how good quality the, as far as I can tell, nonexistent Anker magsafe 3 (as in the one used in macbooks, not the wireless charging puck!) to USB-C cables are. I'm also sure that other companies use bots, like Ugreen, but Anker's are the most obvious.

For the cables that I have bought myself, Anker's "Powerline Flow" series of cables are really nice, they don't tangle and are made of super soft silicone. Pretty expensive for a cable that only does charging though. I have also previously bought a 2m Baseus charging cable (which does have a 240W label, which is nice!), it seem durable enough, just a little stiff, and it works fine for my laptop at 65W.

Like there is never comments that even attempts to be like: "Okay here's what you can do to try to mend the relationship..."

I feel like there's a conspiracy that the internet is trying to break up as many relationships (and by "relationship" I don't just mean romance) as possible so people are more isolated and therefore those who rule the world can more easily solidify their control...

I know a lot of us use ad-blockers and the like so we don't see ads often anymore. But we can get some insight as to how much certain "services" make by showing ads to the average customer when they have paid ad-free subscriptions available. YouTube, for example. Maybe streaming services.

I'm curious how much most things would cost in this case, especially since so many "services" tend to have maintenance and upkeep costs.

How much would Facebook cost to use if it were ad-free? Snapchat? Windows? (Which is extra gross for having all of an up-front cost, ads embedded, AI included, and pushes for paid subscriptions of its own complementary products...)

I hate using the phone in the sun and cant see anything because the light reflects off the screen too much.

In addition, because normal tempered glass reflects too much, if youre in a meeting and the light from windows / projectors can reflect off the phone. So if you move your phone around it can shine on people's faces.

Anyway, i tried the Hoda anti reflective screen, it didnt do much. Want to see what everyone uses to mitigate this problem. Amazon has a lot of anti reflective screens but the reviews are not great (3.5/5). Plus some are expensive ($45++).

Or just go back and use a matte TPU lol?

I am looking for an alternative to the Youtube app. I heard a lot of recommendations about New Pipe but on F droid there are so many flavors. Which one to pick?
