Trump is a malignant narcissist suffering from dementia. Everything he says is most likely in no way related to reality, so please stop reporting and posting crap about what Trump is saying.

[–] sexhaver87@sh.itjust.works 34 points 4 days ago (3 children)

Oh, but they never will, the news media hasn’t stopped talking about Trump since before 2016. It’s been a decade of Trump. Stay prepared for more. They won’t stop now, not while he’s still got a pulse.

In his first run Trump got more coverage in the press than every other candidate combined.

Secret of his success

[–] Denfa@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Media was gobbled up by billionaires specifically for the purpose of promoting their own interests and that includes keeping Trump and MAGA in power. He’s so easy to openly bribe and as a pedophile himself, Trump will make sure they never face consequences for raping children at Epstein properties. Buying up mainstream media is an investment that keeps billionaires out of jail.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.

[–] KeavesSharpi@lemmy.ml 36 points 4 days ago (9 children)

He's been doing that since long before he ran for president. He literally pretended to be his own PR guy for a while. He literally called him self John (his middle name) Barron (his kid's name). It's typical of people with his mental disorder not to have imagination because they have no curiosity to think about anything but themselves.

[–] Denfa@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

I believe he created the fake name before his kid was born. He literally named Barron after his fake name.

He means 60% of his sworn followers. (Noone else counts.)

Truman's the drugstore guy turned congress-critter who, as president, signed everything they told him to, including creation of a bunch of 3-letter agencies.

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 days ago

Knowing the US, probably.

[–] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 5 points 3 days ago

Only 60% among his sycophants? Imagine what it is among the people who never answer surveys.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Probably based on a poll among his personal yes-men.

I’m shocked he was willing to go that low.

[–] tacoplease@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Come on piggy, only 60%? Your buddy Kim Jung-Un is pulling 98.99%. Surely you can be the most popular president ever in the history of the universe!

[–] dermanus@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 days ago

Don't worry, he always has to one up himself. In a day or two it'll be 110% approval.

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 18 points 4 days ago

Somehow, again, coincidentally, all of the Earth is lying and only Trump knows the truth.

What are the odds? Poor guy just can't catch a break other than his entire life and two Presidential terms

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

Awww is that what Natalie Harp told you before tucking you into bed last night?

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 24 points 4 days ago (1 children)

His handlers have been feeding him lies

[–] artyom@piefed.social 13 points 4 days ago

100%. Look at what happens when he sits at a table with all his henchmen. The meeting always starts with going around the table kissing his ass. What are the chances they're NOT also saying "MR.PRESIDENT YOU'RE SO GREAT, LOOK; EVERYONE LOVES YOU!"?

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 14 points 4 days ago

In other words: his handlers / string-pullers told him most people love him. So it must be true because it makes his fee-fees tingle.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 21 points 4 days ago (3 children)

He didn't "insist his approval rating is really at 60%". Quote from the article says:

I don’t believe I could be beaten by anybody. I think that if I needed it, which I don’t, I think 60.

Which, as usual, makes absolutely no fucking sense. Because the one thing you do need to win an election is approval. Or maybe it's a reference to his earlier promises to "cheat like hell"? As in, he doesn't need approval because he's going to cheat? Who fuckin knows what goes this this guy's head? But then he provides no source for the 60 number, because he clearly made up on the spot.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 14 hours ago

There's strong evidence that Trump is so fucked up by his narcissism that he believes that, if he wills something, it will inevitably happen.

Why stop at 60 if you're just going to make shit up. Say 100% .... Or 11000394847292%.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 13 points 4 days ago

Because he is a narcissist, so he is not just trying to convince you, he has to pick a number that he can convince his ego of.

And my parents gobble it up I bet

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago

That means his actual approval rating is well below 30%.

[–] akilou@sh.itjust.works 14 points 4 days ago

If you're going to make up a number that no one will believe anyway, why stop at 60%?

[–] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 1 points 2 days ago

I don't believe the polls saying that his approval rating is that low. I also fear that there won't be a blue wave. I remember the lead up to 2016 and the vibe was similar, wasn't it?

[–] twjolson@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Maine being able to set your own approval rating... And going only 60%.

What a moron.

He’s not wrong, polls are fake. People will still vote for him if he ran even if they say they disapprove of him

[–] KonalaKoala@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I think making it "Donald Trump says polls are fake and insists his approval rating is really at 6%" would be better to show that he needs to be ousted.

President Trump has a different way of calculating ...[percentages]

from rfk, jr about maga math

"No I'm not hated by almost everyone, I'm only hated by almost half of everyone " doesn't feel like quite the flex he thinks it is

The 60% approval rating came from the Muscovite and CCP mobile phones.
