I use dev mode to switch the sensors off. Recently I noticed that after a few days, maybe a week or so, I wasn´t a dev anymore and had to restart dev mode. Does this happen to anybody else? And can I make dev mode permanent again?

If relevant, I´m on a Fairphone 4 using Android 15.

Um die Frage etwas konkreter zu machen: Es gibt zwei Fortbildungen, die mich beide Interessieren und die beide am gleichen WE liegen. Die eine ist erheblich teurer, aber auch inhaltlich attraktiver. Wenn ich das Geld nächstes Jahr sowieso in vollem Umfang zurückbekomme, ist die Entscheidung quasi gefallen. Wenn nicht, muss ich nochmal arg überlegen. Weiss da jemand was? Das Internet erweist sich hier als wenig ergiebig.

Someone did an IKEA logo on the canvas. In a nod to toki pona, I´d like to move the A to the right, so it says IKE A instead. That would mean "How ugly!" in toki pona. I hope this doesn´t go against community rules. If so, please remove the post.

I have a little programming experience but am completely new to shell scripting.

I have several hundred mp3s which I want to split using mp3splt with the command

mp3splt -A XXX.txt XXX.mp3

I have run this command by hand in the past but now have a project where doing it by hand would be impractical due to the number of files. In my imagination it should be easy to write a script that searches a folder for all the mp3s that have a txt file of the same name and runs the above command on them.

My question just is this: Is there any obvious reason this would not work? If you (meaning: a person with experience in shell scripting) don´t see any such reason, I´d work my way through this tutorial to work out the rest. If, on the other hand, you say it is impossible, I can just stop and do it by hand.

In case you are interested in my use case: I play irish music, which is based on short melodies played by heart. I want to learn these melodies using anki with audio files. For that, I need to have audio files with just one specific tune each.

Hey, I´m a music teacher from Germany. As part of each lesson I show my students musical (and music-like) traditions from all ages and places, and let them guess where and when this music was created. A while ago I´ve shown them a haka of the All Blacks, first audio only so they could guess, then with the video. Since then, a group of 11 year olds is constantly asking me if we could perform a haka in the group. I myself would not be opposed to doing so, but I would want to do it with the necessary respect. So I thought I´d come here to ask: Would you find it disrespectful if a group of german children and their teacher performed a haka? If the responses here are positive, I´d follow this Wikihow for the actual performance. Thanks in advance for any responses.
