I know albatross are big, but I can't stop seeing it as an abnormally small man petting an abnormally well-behaved seagull.

He wants to fuck that bird, doesn't he?

[–] AngryishHumanoid@lemmy.world 21 points 10 months ago

Oh well that's ok then.

God literally used the scale-up tool on a seagull. I guess it was a Friday afternoon in the animal design bureau.

[–] Pothetato@lemmy.world 19 points 10 months ago

You've earned me chip, big fella

[–] lath@lemmy.world 19 points 10 months ago

When their pecker is bigger than your 'pecker'...

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 18 points 10 months ago

Never let a bird with a beak that size get it that close to your junk.

[–] humanspiral@lemmy.ca 15 points 10 months ago

If risky to put dick in mouth, why make it friend sized?

I was think of this! How the fuck did he hang that from his neck??

[–] Sergio@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

Yeah, I didn't realize that when I first heard it. I guess that's why it's a punishment. If they just hung a tiny parakeet off his neck, it wouldn't be much of a punishment.

[–] taiyang@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

That's the expression of a man who just had a random naked encounter with an albatross. It's a mix of befuddlement and wonder.

This reminds me of that one subreddit, “science diagrams that look like shitposts“ or something like that?

Ooh and that's alright, I'm ok

I'll pet the albatross

For one more day

[–] Widdershins@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

At that size it gets difficult to imagine having one hung from your neck.

[–] Psythik@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Underweight my ass. Poor bird is so fat and out of shape that it couldn't even attempt to flee... :(

[–] lmmarsano@lemmynsfw.com 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It's a chick: they just waddle, play with hay, and do flappies while waiting for their parents to occasionally feed them. Albatross chicks are huge.

Quit ruining my narrative with your facts and logic!

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Carlos for scale.

[–] JamesBoeing737MAX@sopuli.xyz 2 points 10 months ago

Hm, how tall is the person? I mean people's size varies. You can be under a meter or 2m 10.

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 10 months ago

i just realized the only way for me to actually comprehend their size is to think of them as glide-flying swans

[–] lemmyknow@lemmy.today 2 points 10 months ago

Let me tell you all a story 'bout a mouse named Lorry
