Canada/Carney should have discussions directly with auto makers, Deere, Caterpillar, Boeing to discuss what they can do to keep Canadian market access. Auto sales in Canada were the same level as UK and France, despite half the population in 2024. Competition to Deere/Caterpillar for China is 10x better value.

On AI, Ford said something stupid about if Ontario doesn't build them, then Trump will. Huawei has a 50% cost advantage over Nvidia, and there are plenty of open models optimized for it. These models can be tuned for Canada if they need be, but the point would be that serving open models at low latency to Americans and Canadians is good competition to US.

Norad is how the US survives only thanks to Canadian cooperation. Canada has been very weak in continuing military integration, and "values", with the US. It's time for US to pay their fair share for our assistance in their survival.

Replacing US influence with Chinese influence is not a win.

Buying the best value product is not influence. Sticking to worst product from direct real enemy convincingly trying to destroy you is influence. Ideological reasons is influence. Continued military cooperation with enemy is influence.
