When I was in grade school. I guess sometime in the late 90s, We learned about global warming in school.

I remember thinking it was terrifying that we would all be cooked alive.

That night I had this terrible dream that it was a hot sunny day but we had to stay in the house until dusk. And when I did venture out, our outdoor dog was dead and the yard was full of dead birds. And it was so silent.

I still remember that dream.

If Iran is sharing toll money with anyone, its China.

In my teens to early 20s. I often found myself sleeping on the hard surfaces. A tent outside, a sleeping bag outside, or a friend's bedroom floor. You know, just wherever I was.

When I was in my mid 30s I was in the process of moving and was selling my furniture and bed.

Long story short. I had no sofa or bed for 3 days leading up to the move. I had to sleep on a hardwood floor.

It was unbelievably rough. Like. I could not believe that sleeping on a few blankets on the floor could be that awful.

Hadn't I done this dozens of times not that long ago?

Wasn't I fatter now; So in theory, there was more cushion?

And since I was in the process of packing and moving from a 2nd story apartment. I was pretty sore all of those days. And then had to sleep on a hardwood floor.

I've also since bought an air mattress for this last time I moved so I didnt have to sleep on the floor. Cause f that.

I don't know what age you get to where it's no longer possible to sleep on hard surfaces.

But a warning to those of you in your mid 20s. That day is coming.

But it is worse.

That's my whole point backed up with research.

And it specifically makes the world more hostile for women and girls.

It perpetuates the very systems that harm us under the guise of "sexual empowerment".

Please think about who benefits the most from sexual objectification of women and girls.

It is not women and girls. No matter how you spin it as "empowerment" or anything else.

It's a little better. I honestly feel that most of my community is not insane. That's something.

Tech oligarchs in the U.S:

There are a handful of decent humans there who oppose it all. They have protested and been beaten up.

Mostly young people. Not very many of them. But I think that's pretty courageous considering they are literally surrounded by wolves.

What must it be like to live in a country surrounded by insane fascist. ?

Oh... Nevermind I guess I know.

Well.

But at least most of my fellow U.S citizens aren't in support of it.

I think Israel must feel like literally everyone is maga except like 2 people you know.

Swansea university in Swansea Wales.

Yep. Every classroom door had them.

https://hwb.swansea.ac.uk/hwb/student-id-card/

All Swansea University students are issued with a Student ID card, sometimes also called a library card.

Your Student ID card allows you to: swipe in to record your attendance at lectures

borrow items from the library

use the library printing, copying and scanning services

access certain study rooms and labs

identify yourself at University exams

obtain sports and student society memberships

Also I don't think these are too expensive. I've worked at a lot of places that had security badge swipes at the doors.

Other Countries will publish their reports.

So it doesn't matter what the brain worms say.

Okay so you don't actually know anyone who has aged out of sex work .

My "puritanical views". Is this a joke?

My stance is I'm against human trafficking. I'm against pimps. I'm against workers being hurt by johns. I'm against the promotion of misogyny and objectification of people. I'm against capitalism turning human connection into just another thing to exploit for money. I'm especially against the harms it perpetuates in society.

And I'm against people resorting to the high risk sex work because it's the easy choice when there should be better options for people.

People have more value that tits and ass. Or a hole.

They actually do.

You can pretend the risks and statistics I gave you aren't real.

It doesn't make them false.

Also I certainly don't appreciate your strawman what-aboutism argument.

We aren't talking about people who do labor jobs. We are talking about sex workers.

Jesus. How can you possibly believe that sex work is good for women. I mean. Seriously. How fucked up is it to believe that ?

Why would you support the systems that harm women the most. Why. ? Do you hate women ? I can't see why anyone would think sex work is a great career opportunity for women except people like Epstein and trump.

Cause those are the types of people that benefit from women being exploited this way.

How does making sex work legal help a 40 year old with no skills or job experience?

Decriminalizing sex work is much more effective at reducing crime on the sex workers.

If you don't believe me, look into the Netherlands.

They have a huge problem with sex trafficking because it's legal to sell sex there.

It doesn't protect anyone. It encourages sex trafficking and pimping. Especially for foreign victims and young girls.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_trafficking_in_the_Netherlands

In 2017, it was estimated by the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children that more than 6,000 people in the Netherlands fall victim to human trafficking each year.[6][7] Two thirds of the people trafficked, about 4,000 people per year, fall victim to sexual slavery and abuse.[6] This group consisted largely of Dutch women, including minors (1,320 girls each year) who were preyed upon by so-called "lover boys".[7] The other 2,000 victims of human trafficking were largely foreigners who were put to work by organized crime groups.[6]

https://humanityinaction.org/knowledge_detail/the-audacity-of-tolerance-a-critical-analysis-of-legalized-prostitution-in-amsterdams-red-light-district/

I know it sounds like legalizing it would help sex workers. But the reality is that it doesn't.

Objectification of bodies never leads to good ends.

https://eclj.org/geopolitics/eu/legal-prostitution-and-human-trafficking-in-the-netherlands?lng=en

How about instead we invest in free education and job training and pay people a living wage so that the dangerous sex work isn't their best option for survival.

"Urges public interrogation of victims".

Iran reports destroying US aircraft during failed rescue operation, while Washington says pilot was successfully retrieved in complex mission. Key Developments Iran says US rescue mission failed, multiple aircraft destroyed near Isfahan. US officials say missing F-15 crew member was successfully recovered. Conflicting accounts emerge over scale and outcome of rescue operation. Iran Claims Rescue Operation Was Thwarted Iranian Armed Forces said on Sunday that they had foiled a US attempt to rescue a downed pilot, destroying multiple aircraft south of Isfahan in central Iran, according to Tasnim news agency.

A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said the operation targeted US aircraft involved in an infiltration mission to extract a pilot whose fighter jet had been shot down earlier.

The spokesperson said Iranian forces—including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the army, Basij units, and law enforcement—carried out a coordinated response that resulted in the destruction of several aircraft, including two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 military transport plane.

The statement described the outcome as a “failure” for the United States, drawing comparisons to the 1980 Operation Eagle Claw.

The IRGC added that its air defenses also shot down an MQ-9 drone over Isfahan, adding that four similar drones had been downed in the province over the past five days.

Iranian military officials said the total number of drones downed since the start of the war has reached 162, reflecting what they described as growing control over national airspace.

Tasnim also reported that US forces had carried out strikes in Kohgiluyeh province after failing to locate the missing pilot.

Iranian authorities called on civilians to assist in locating the pilot, who they said remained missing.

US Says Pilot Rescued in Large-Scale Operation In contrast, US officials told CBS News that the missing crew member from the downed F-15E fighter jet was successfully rescued early Sunday.

According to CBS, the operation involved dozens of aircraft and special operations forces, who located the pilot using a tracking beacon.

US President Donald Trump claimed on his Truth social account that the crew member had been retrieved in “one of the most daring” operations conducted by US forces.

US officials said the pilot sustained injuries but was in stable condition.

They added that during earlier rescue attempts, a US helicopter came under fire, injuring some crew members, while an A-10 aircraft involved in the mission was also hit, forcing the pilot to eject before being recovered.

Pretty sure we are the only animals with pink rings around our mouth. It's flipping weird.

It probably helps with verbal language understanding as humans often use mouth movements to interpret words (see McGurk effect). But I still think it's weird.

Big pink rings.

Actually I have zero ideas as to the statement being made with this potato on a stick/staff with a condom on it. Does anyone know?

He meows. Makes hard eye contact but if I touch him , he gets mad and runs off.

What? What do you want!?!?! Why are you staring at me and meowing if you don't actually want me to do anything?!

He also seems to get mad and run off if I just look back at him and not try to pet him.

If I try to ignore him he just rolls around and sometimes does this little ridiculous "tantrum" deal where he will stand up and dramatically throw himself down and then roll onto his back. It's always loud cause he's a big cat. It can't feel very good. But he does it all the time.

Idk. Maybe he just likes being dramatic.

Anyway. Any cat whisperers who have figured it out, let me know.

established and vetted video game review sites are under attack by corporate greed. No surprise. Many such sites which are known and trusted within the gaming community have recently been bought up by private companies, all the staff fired, and new AI staff brought in.

AI staff is given a name, and AI generated profile images.

Because the sites are established and trusted, they are more easily peddling slop reviews.
