It's perfectly fine as long as you're dull. However I also created !dullsters@dullsters.net as a second channel.

C's get degrees. The only thing that matters in life is being attractive, and having confidence in yourself.

No and no, I'm thinking about working for myself as an independent automotive diagnostician. That would still be somewhat unethical and hard work, but at least I'd face real challenges and be helping people on an individual level. I can't just quit my day job right off the bat due to health insurance. I'd have to start doing work on the side, but business insurance plus equipment and subscriptions would make it difficult to break even. Plus I haven't worked on cars professionally in about 12 years so I'm not up to snuff on working on newer cars.

Android app says connected but nothing will load no matter which server I connect to. I wouldn't think it would be a global issue but maybe their DNS is down?

Same, but I live in a small town with few other options, so I have to weigh the cost of driving 30 minutes one way if I need something immediately.

Thank you for your very detailed response! My goal is to do automotive diagnostics so I'll be working on the 13v range at the most. It looks like I should have sprung for the 2 channel picoscope which cost around $200. I knew going in that this scope would have limitations, but I didn't fully understand what they are. Fortunately many sensors used for diagnostics work in the mv range. I'm mostly looking at relative comparisons such as cam and crank sensor correlation, an amp clamp (1mv output per amp), canbus, voltage fluctuations, and pulse sensors.

I bought a cheap Hantek 6022BE to learn with and I'm just trying to measure some voltage to check if it's accurate. I'm using openhantek6022 https://github.com/OpenHantek/OpenHantek6022 and also hscope on android. I'm measuring a 19v laptop power supply with the 10x setting on the probe and also a set of leads with a 20x attenuator. When I measure the power supply with my dmm I'm getting 19.22V with the scope I'm getting much higher or lower depending on where I set the voltage per division. Both programs have a calibration function which I did.

20x attenuator showing 19.6v

10x probe showing 20v

10x probe with 2v per division setting only showing 9.81V

Hscope showing 19.9v

People forget that emissions reduction isn't just about global climate change but also local air quality. Sure, it doesn't matter as much in rural areas where there are fewer cars. However, in large cities it adds up and makes air quality plummet. People have a right to fresh air. Idiots are going to bring back smog and increase lung cancer because of a minor annoyance that most people don't even notice.

Sometimes I think there are provacateurs on here, saying we should do something about so and so and so forth. Trying to do the old FBI trick of creating terrorism where there isn't any.

I don't know if this is still a thing in certain places but they used to physically take your driver's license if you got a speeding ticket and then give it back to you when you paid the ticket.

They're posting from an instance that allows open signups without an email. It will have to be defederated or the instance owner needs to fix that.

Their little hats look stupid

I've been having the ABS/Traction control lights come on at random times on the highway. I made a video walking through some of the diagnostic process. Sorry for the quiet audio. Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

I decided to start documenting all of the repairs I'm having to do on an 09' Dodge Grand Caravan. It has quite a few issues at the moment, fortunately everything is cheap and easy to repair on these. I'm mostly going to focus on the diagnostic aspects as all of these repairs are well documented already. Hopefully it's useful content to someone. Cheers.

Really cool feature, I'll just have to live with my mistake.
