Why did we get all the bad parts of a cyberpunk future and none of the fun parts?

[–] TheObviousSolution@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 days ago

You also get the good parts, but you miscalculated how cheap they would be to obtain and thought you were going to be the PC instead of Yet Another NPC.

What parts of cyberpunk are fun that aren't fun because they are part of a game?

Johnny Mnemonic didn't seem much fun, maybe thrilling.

Cyberpunk 2077 was fun when you were doing ridiculous stuff while chopping your flesh to become a cyber-mechanical psycho.

Snowcrash was a world falling apart at the seams held together by the metaverse and corporations.

Cyberpunk futures just seem possibly good because it seems to be the one people see as happening as the rich assholes running everything right now saw all the bad things in the fiction as good for them.

Cybernetic body mods was what I was mainly thinking tbh, there's some neat tech

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 4 points 6 days ago

Yes it was cool but it says in game that .5 percent of the population reject mods and everyone else risks cyberpsychosis at worst but also physiological and psychological issues from implants.

In glad receive is talking about how fucking awful this is and how they don’t want it.

I’ve heard people saying they’re going to leave Shoppers.

Unfortunately Shoppers is the only pharmacy near me

An alternative would be finding a pharmacy that does deliveries? Mine will happily ship my meds all over Canada.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I don’t know that was a thing

[–] Reannlegge@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 days ago

Yes call up other pharmacies in your area someone will do deliveries, just promise it is not some other Loblaws company!

[–] codydodd@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago

True but it shows Pandoras box has been open. We need serious legislation against this.

Roblaws should not be legal let alone this poop
