$4/gallon? Ooh la la, look at Mr. Cheap Gas Prices over here!

[–] AgentSeven@lemmy.zip 33 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Boy Massie is really going scorched Earth. Has he yet apologized for his previous 16 years of being a gigantic piece of shit that actively helped cause all of this?

[–] Makhno@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago

Perfection is the enemy of progress

[–] Yewb@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Everyone deserves a chance for redemption its the only way we can move forward

They cannot admit fault because they ate broken but they can change opinion

What's this mystery meat business? I've seen it multiple times this week.

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 71 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (3 children)

Drumpf importing 300,000 tons of meat material from an undisclosed source with the promise to sell at 25% below domestic beef pricing.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 24 points 2 months ago (2 children)

sell at 25% below domestic beef pricing

Oh so not only is it of super questionable quality, he's ALSO screwing over American farmers. Love it

[–] TheOakTree@lemmy.zip 13 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I'm just waiting for the cattle farmer interviews to roll in on the news.

"I voted for him twice, and I would vote for him again, but he's really making it hard for us out here. At this rate I'll have to sell the ranch, which has been in the family for five generations."

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

No need to wait, just google. The US Cattlemen's Association, the NCBA and every other ranching group is completely losing their shit. Articles already published for ya.

[–] TheOakTree@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 months ago

Looks like I'm late to the party!

All of that delectable FAFO snark, and then the AI generated logo at the end. Bleh.

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 2 points 2 months ago

Bah-dah-ba-dah-neeeeighhhh

[–] BarbecueCowboy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

I saw that episode of Community, it was a good one.

[–] Audacious@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

I have a sneaky suspicion it's from Argentina, known for their meat markets. Or that's what I remember from watching those food travel shows in the past.

[–] terranoid@lemmy.cafe 37 points 2 months ago (2 children)

So you know how people keep complaining about grocery prices?

Well it finally got to Trump so he made a deal with an unknown person for a bunch of diseased cattle because fuck you and your health

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

To be fair, it might not be diseased, it might just be slathered in a highly toxic, carcinogenic antibiotic banned in most countries, including the US.

Argentina has been trying, and failing, to foist that shit off on a bunch of countries lately.

[–] gdog05@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

It might be diseased, might be horse meat, might be concentration camp prisoners. At this point, we can't fucking know and likely can barely imagine. We are in the end game now. They've captured or wasted our water, taken our power, disrupted our communication technology, sowed distrust in our food supply and will use Round-Up to destroy much of what's left of that, made their crimes legal and have made our voting ability dubious at best. The last stage I can think of is nullifying our currency and we can see them strongly trying to make that happen right now. We still have a very small chance to fix this without massive bloodshed but no matter what, it's going to be a hard road ahead.

$10 days we find out someday that that’s where all the wild horses they’ve been “selling to loving homes” have ended up

[–] RoidingOldMan@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

To be fair, the GOP promised a lot of things. "Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen."

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

And "no more wars" was one of those things... as well as ending all the active ones (if I remember it right, literally all, not just the US ones).

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

all the wars are over
now there’s just military actions

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

US hasn't fought a war since 1945.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

GOP is also offering...

  • Zero tax liability if you're a multimillionaire or corporation

  • Tax payer funded private schools whole cutting funded from public schools and ending a teacher's union

  • Measles outbreaks

  • AI/surveillance data centers with payments subsidized by locals leading to 1000% increases in their utility bills

  • Advanced notice of Stock market meddling

  • Zero prosecution for diddling children

[–] decolo@piefed.social 15 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Where was the Nazi going with his question? Is he worried people don't hate trans folks enough to eat gray beef?

[–] nullspace@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Short-sighted fools! Securing a steady supply of mystery meat is the only way we're going to get the McRib as a permanent, year-round menu item.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

It's not a mystery, they just haven't named the species because McD's violated the law on generic engineering. They were trying to get a pig with wings but got one with eight "vestigial" legs. Problem is Marvel invented, published, and trademarked Spiderpig™ decades ago as a fuck you to Johnny Gisnep. But chuck their mature eggs in a grinder and you get a nice smooth paste, like chicken nuggets, and they thought a rib mold they got at a garage sale the other day prior would work. You can see for yourself the disaster it wreaks as they have to build egg stocks back up between cullings.

Edit remembered Johnny's first name

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 months ago

Don't forget the GOP's also offering a boot to our collective necks via masked federal agents, a digital panopticon, and diarrhea lettuce.

[–] Cheebus@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

Billionaire Ballrooms

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 months ago

Removing the existing healthcare system for something much worse and non-stop culture wars to distract you from their racism and tax breaks for the rich.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

This is what the GOP is giving. What they are offering is to persecute that effeminate kid who thinks he's a girl and to keep the brown people out of your mostly white neighborhood.

Edit: Oh, and to stop those scary vaccines from being offered.

[–] Mrkawfee@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Massie is tearing down the temple walls for November. Good for him.

[–] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Any idea what made him snap into reality?

[–] ClownStatue@piefed.social 6 points 2 months ago

Liability free lots of things.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Don't forget the turbo trots

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

They certainly haven't forgotten about me

[–] owenfromcanada@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 months ago

Don't forget the kidnappings!

[–] Legisign@europe.pub 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

“$4/gallon gas” is terrifying America?! It’s $9/gallon ATM in Finland (by quickly converting the funny American units) :D

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

gas is heavily subsidized in america, otherwise it would be in line with other countries. GOP is offering distractions from epstein files, that is thier only thing.

[–] pachrist@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

But what if I need to know everything about the genitals of the people around me before I take a satisfying shit?

When will we have a party who makes that their core message?

[–] acchariya@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Genitals? No I'm sorry I need to know about the DNA
