Basically I want to know if this unrelenting hunger means I'm going to have to make a trip to Finland on free bucket day. According to a polish friend, bread consumption is directly proportional to boob size. While I don't think that's necessarily true, I'm curious because I don't seem to be gaining weight at all

idk if it is or not but im in a similar position atm. my boobs are super tender all the time and i have a crazy appetite, but i dont seem to be gaining weight (or at least not much). mine has been mainly a craving for sweets, but also a major craving for protein. ive been eating around 3000 calories a day, which is a lot for me. if i dont i start getting constant food thoughts after a couple days, like im on a caloric restriction.

i really hope this is my body growing my boobs. its hard to tell though because its a slow process.

i eat def more since hrt with only marginal weight gain. i was very active before, now it's less regular that i do sports actually (lockerrrr rrroooommms! shakes fist melodramatically) but still.

for me personally it's hard to give in on cravings, but i guess it's well invested calories atm, so i want to allow myself more. ;)

I've been eating poorly and did not gain weight lately. My guess would be loss of muscle mass. So I dunno. But I've regained more appetite only recently. My guess would be with progesterone.

IANAMD but Es are anabolic (edit: many tissues, anything with the receptors, not just muscles) and will affect appetite. Pair that with surplus cal, consistent protein, and enough fats and resistance training (esp. stuff like squats) to goose GH… baby you got a stew going! GL

isn't it prog that's anabolic?

[–] Septimaeus@infosec.pub 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Prog has anabolic properties for sure. The improved sleep alone aids constructive metabolism.

I just meant OP’s target has a high concentration of E receptors, and any growth signal in the body increases appetite. So the magic 8-ball answer is “likely yes 👍” because E prompts tissues in the body to ask for the additional nutrients needed to develop secondary sexual characteristics, including boobs.

The optimizations I mentioned like dietary macros and GH support merely hasten that development and maintain health in the process. She doesn’t need them for HRT to work.

Edit: and as you can see, I’m great at parties

About the only training I get is carrying children I might see if there's some strength training exercises I can do at home without equipment.

[–] Septimaeus@infosec.pub 0 points 2 weeks ago

That’s perfect! A functional compound movement like lifting a child, performed several times a day, should keep GH elevated without diverting too many nutrients from your goal.

There is a bunch of strength training that can be done without any equipment. Look into I think it's called body weight excercises. Basically you ise your own body as the weight to train muscles.

Growth hormone, a signal that influences cell turnover in the body. It’s not an important focus for transfem HRT but common mistakes (crash dieting, insufficient sleep, malnutrition from high sugar, low protein, or fat free diets, etc) suppress it and keep the body in a catabolic state counteracting Es anabolic effects, one of which OP mentioned.

thanks! and that also influences breast growth in a way that i can stimulate it by workouts?

[–] Septimaeus@infosec.pub 0 points 1 week ago

Technically yes. Practically it’s paragraphs in a book about the benefits of balanced diet and exercise during transition in many respects, including breast growth. But yes.

I'm not sure tbh, but my guess would be that metabolic energy consumption is high whenever your body is doing something, and that includes internal biochemical/physiological changes. that may include breast growth but might also be something completely different.

it's known that energy consumption can go up a significant bit during puberty but i'm not an expert so take my words with a grain of salt ;-)
