Similar post was made on the .world lemmy community but I banned from there and some people don't federate world so I though I'd ask here too to see how the answers differ.

fossilesque is a big one for me that I didn't see in the .world post

I recognize you! Lots of fun memes, comrade!

Also tons of Hexbear/Grad comrades, and a few common faces on Lemmy.ml. There are too many to really list out, and I'd feel bad leaving someone out accidentally.

You were the one of the people I thought of when I read the post title.

That and @yogthos@lemmy.ml and @geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml

@Alaskaball@hexbear.net. I feel like I get told off a lot 🀣

@Dort_Owl@hexbear.net. Stinky owl.

@SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net. I just like SFS

Edit: @FlakesBongler@hexbear.net. You know why

[–] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 17 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Hexbear users are some of the most recognizable lol. I wonder why that is?

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml 20 points 5 months ago

Nearly everyone on Hexbear has an icon and pronouns, which helps with recognizability!

[–] Flyberius@hexbear.net 20 points 5 months ago

Loud. Outspoken. Sexy.

Waaaay too many assholes from world and other trolls 😭.

But then there's also awesome ones like op, cowbee and others that balance it out

[–] calmblue75@lemmy.ml 10 points 5 months ago

Hey, weren't you also one of those who were calling out .world on their zionist apologia?

πŸ‘‹You know it's bad when you start getting recognized on your arguing account

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml 12 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That's also why having a dedicated arguing account is nice, and makes me question why I never do that.

[–] NotMushroomForDebate@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I thought that was what the .ml account was for, lol.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml 6 points 5 months ago

It is, but having different usernames would help keep them separate, I just use the same username on different instances lol

[–] calmblue75@lemmy.ml 9 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Arguments kinda grab attention, you know?

I feel seen!

[–] Jimmycrackcrack@lemmy.ml 10 points 5 months ago (1 children)

It's always pretty hard to forget "satansmaggotycumfart". I don't really remember much of what they post but the name is always a trip.

I added the tag "tired" to somebody in one of those threads where people were talking about how to add tags to people, and I've completely forgotten why.

But, I see them every once in a while and have an "oh yeah, you" moment.

I recognize LadyButterfly from /c/womensstuff@piefed.blahaj.zone but that's basically it

[–] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 6 points 5 months ago

She's cool, brings great vibes to the fediverse

[–] WhyJiffie@sh.itjust.works 6 points 5 months ago

I regularly see a surprising amount of lemmy neighbours by their names, but not by their profile pictures, as voyager does not support showing them

[–] Ryanmiller70@lemmy.zip 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I rarely recognize names besides a few horny people on the shit post community. I recognize a lot of profile pics tho since not many people on here have one.

[–] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 7 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I think more people should decorate their profiles, I like getting an idea of who someone is from it. The details of mine change often but the vibes are always the same

Are the shitposters violet08 and mickey7 because same lmao

[–] Vanth@reddthat.com 6 points 5 months ago (8 children)

I'm not very good at remembering peoples inside-joke Lemmy handles that mean nothing to me. I liberally use user tags to keep track of people, most often people I want to warn future-self away from engaging with so I don't waste my time. Racists, bigots, trolls, sea lions, etc.
