Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

"I know what it requires".

I refer you to Sun Tzu: One may know how to conquer but not be able to do so.

[–] crystalmerchant@lemmy.world 11 points 4 hours ago

Dude read the room

[–] ulkesh@piefed.social 3 points 4 hours ago

As much as I might like her, she will not win. No one likes hearing this, but there are simply too many racist and misogynist voters for her to ever win. Then add the fact that a convicted felon and likely pedophile won against her already.

It’s time to move on from the typical DNC bullshit and get someone who will vow to prosecute every last corrupt piece of shit in this current administration and vow to impeach and remove all corrupt judges and justices, especially those put there by this administration.

The DNC needs to stop fucking around.

Stealing AOC’s thunder.

Tell me liberal Dems aren’t controlled opposition.

[–] cenariodantesco@lemmy.world 21 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I'm not American but gimme that AOC baby

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

America will not vote for:

  1. A woman

  2. Any ethnicity

  3. Anyone under 60

[–] Cherries@lemmy.world 12 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Kamala Harris did not lose because of those qualities. She lost because she ran as a diet Republican, going for a marginal victory.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

There was also all of that fraud

Even still, Harris couldn't beat an empty chair

[–] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 2 points 7 hours ago

Obama met 2/3 of those criteria

It's the woman part that America won't vote for

The DNC has won in court on the premise that they are a private institution and can nominate whoever they want and put whoever they want on the ballot.

[–] Mudman@sh.itjust.works 5 points 10 hours ago

Everyone should vote for Afroman!

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 17 points 14 hours ago

Given by her parties recent rulings on how to deal with AIPAC, I don't believe anyone in that party knows what it requires.

[–] EtAl@lemmy.dbzer0.com 31 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

I know what it requires

Do you? You were happy to fund Bibi's genocide in Gaza, and it lost you the election. You moved to the right, and it lost you the election. You wouldn't distance yourself from Biden, and it lost you the election.

Take the hint.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 7 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Frankly, the American voting public cares less about the unjust deaths of untold many foreign folks than the price of eggs 8 months before the vote.

[–] ButtermilkBiscuit@feddit.nl 3 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Sentiment is changing fast. People are fed up with pissrael. I don't know why happened but a massive ideological shift is occuring in the US on the left/center and weirdly a large portion of the right-tards. Pissrael, aipac, anything with zionist roots is toxic as shit right now. Thank fuck, it's about time we stop funding that genocidal regressive welfare state. Bizarre settlers and the fucking religious zealots running around with free healthcare while US citizens suffer a homelessness epidemic. It's a fucking embarrassment.

[–] svcg@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 12 hours ago

To be fair, all of those things would have been required of her as a dem president, she just wasn't supposed to do it until after the election.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 16 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Its fine, she has zero chance of winning a primary.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 hours ago

Not sure whether I'm missing an implied /s, but good joke either way

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 52 points 19 hours ago

If you lose to Donald Trump, you are literally unelectable.

[–] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 27 points 19 hours ago (3 children)

Kamala and I have one more thing in common: We have the same exact chance of being elected President in 2028.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 hours ago

But if we got all Americans together to vote for harris, then she would win, and the Republican party could go another four years without facing any consequences for the various crimes they've committed

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Now I'm going to vote for you.

[–] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

lol if you post here, you would definitely like my platform.

RICO charges for everyone in Trump's orbit and we're going after all their assets in civil forfeiture.

Kamala. Exit the echo chamber. Read the room. We need change, not a return to the status quo that gave us Trump 2.0. Don't be an opportunist.
