Yeah but I told them no and the guy stared intensely into my eyes. Sadly the stazi-techniques do not work, so I stared back. Fun part was that the guy would stop me and pat me down or otherwise harass me every time he saw me

My dad used to dress up as Piccolo from dbz and beat me in my sleep with his custom made ocarina when I was 22 years old. It always pissed me off because he would call it his piccolo but it wasn't a goddamn flute it was an ocarina. So when he died 4 years ago I dressed up as Piccolo at his funeral and beat his corpse with that same ocarina. Everyone gave me a standing ovation and clapped so hard a few attendees dislocated their wrists, one even degloved their hand. So when the paramedics came I told them my dad died.

Waaaay back in '98, not long after the game came out, I heard someone whistling the Lost Woods theme outside my dorm. It remains the only time I've heard someone singing/whistling/whatever a video game tune out in the wild who wasn't me.
Original Mario theme is often stuck in my head and I whistle it. Happened yesterday leaving the office.
