Like Americans need to realize that not primarying democrats means they feel safe with your vote and are thus incentivized to prioritize seeking republican voters.
MAGA on the other hand literally primaried people for not being extreme enough... Only took them 6 elections if you think about it.
The race to outflank each other on the right has been happening in the Republican party for over 40 years, but over the last 16 years they've gone increasingly batshit
GOP & DNC are the sword $ shield of the wealthy elites respectively.
But still GOP incumbents have always been more likely to face a funded primary opponent. Meanwhile DNC protects theirs from challengers.
They selectively protect incumbents. They didn't do a thing to protect Cori Bush or Jamaal Bowman, but they protected Henry Cuellar.
Obviously they're not going to protect the people we replace them with. That's up to us!
Democrats know they have a stranglehold on the primary process, and they know that the results of their interference with the will of the people will be interpreted as apathy on the part of the left.

Agreed, and support organizations like PV that do phone banking and door knocking to help those progressive candidates win.
Also Americans need to nominate people for candidacy. What stood out the most to me in Knock Down The House was that it was AOC's brother in law that nominated her and the grass roots organization that vetted and asked her to run.
I think a lot of competant leaders don't run for office because they don't believe they will even make it onto the ballot.

Americans liberals think that everyone but them is a Republican. And, therefore, you must trick the Republicans into voting for you be appearing to be better at Things Republicans Care About than the actual Republican on the ballot.
Clinton, Obama, and Biden all did conservative pastiche and won. Therefore, Americans would never vote for a Limousine Liberal rainbow flag hugger from Fake America's richest city if he was talking shit about veterans and fucking prostitutes in his free time. You've got to put John Kerry in a hunting jacket if you want to win Ohio. You need Bernie Sanders to denounce everyone in Cuba. Make Kamala Harris go on Hot Ones alongside Joe Rogan. You can't step off a plane with your name on it or ride down a golden escalator, like some kind of out-of-touch elitist. You sure as hell can't glad-hand the President of China or - god fucking forbid - North Korea. Anyone who did those things would lose in a landslide, purely because Real Americans hate it.
You have to play it safe. Only the safest candidates will win. That's why Jeb Bush was Hillary Clinton's biggest threat in 2016.

Yup. Politicians aren't our friends, they are - or at least should be - something like our "employees". WE (to some degree) choose them, and (to some degree) pay their salaries. It's up to us to keep them accountable.

Dems top policy needs to be funding social services and adding healthcare to it. I want to see my tax money actually do good things for people in this country. Not do bad things to people in other countries.
Best we can do is not take your civil liberties away quite as quickly. We're still going to bomb other countries though.
