Wind's howling

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Very! Most glad it's a WFH day. Useful for finding all the draughts in the house that need blocking up.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I think trying to find any single draughts in my place would be futile, there are so many of them. Plus they mingle with the radiating cold coming through the walls and windows.

I'm looking forward to the new place being both double glazed and drought proof - everything is very well sealed and weather stripped there. I'm hoping as well as the temperature benefits it will mean less dust inside.

Seems a single door snake will fix this place. Fingers crossed.

The last one I'm pretty sure did actual harm to our health. Couldn't get it above 15 degrees no matter what in July/august.

and whimdy, there is weather here, unlike in the weather shadow of carlton where we had little rain and few blowy days

Woke up at 3 and couldnโ€™t get back to sleep, tossed and turned and grumbled. Then of course half hour before the alarm went off, my body just switched off and went into a glorious sleep. Grr.

All that wind didnโ€™t help with the insomnia last night

Like what the hell!? The ELIZABETH HURLEY with Billy Ray Cyrus?? Of all people!?

It's breaking my damn brain!

And I thought it was weird when she dated Shane Warne ๐Ÿ˜‚

Going to the Perth zoo today for my last day here. Flying back home tomorrow morning ๐ŸŒž

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago

I love Perth zoo. The pygmy marmosets are my favourite. They're so cute.

Have a great day!

Fuck ๐Ÿ˜‚

I wonder if the vegies would grow well in that?

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I believe you can buy ZooPoo from Royal Melbourne Zoo, maybe Werribee as well. Yes, vegies do grow well in it.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

So is it bagged up per species or like a mixed salad where everything is thrown in?

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Mixed. I think they just bag the accumulated poop. I understand its mostly elephant poop as they produce so much.

I am half way through the second Helen Forrester autobiography,

I am all out of sympathy for the mother. She is a cruel selfish grifter, sending begging letters for children's clothes to all her old friends, her daughter's friends and friends of friends.

Then when she gets the clothes , much much needed clothes, she pawns them and uses the money to buy cigarettes.

The children are dressed in filthy rags.

To top it off she mocks Helen for being filthy and ragged, poorly educated and unemployable. This is unforgiveable.

But there are two bright spots.

Because the children were told to look after each other they did and grew up close and supportive of each other.

All the children could read and write and had access to books.

This meant they were able to heed advice regarding education and take advantage of opportunity.

Liverpool Miss is so damned brutal

My sister in Christ, you (Helenโ€™s mother) raised the child.

god damn the right wing rags are really gunning for the state election. At this point I'd ignore the fuckers if they said the sky was blue.

[โ€“] dumblederp@aussie.zone 0 points 11 months ago

I ignore them whatever they've got to say.

I wonder if they'll roll out the 'Tough on crime' platform for a 3rd time in a row.
