I’m so mad all of them have milk. I still remember how good that chocolate is

Cat still hasn’t come around for his food and medicine. Not good, he needs to be getting a good amount of quality food in and has already missed one dose. Just did a blockie looking for the little poo

Yeah, that’s a good system. This one is a little awkward though as you’re meant to pull it back while pressing the trigger to spray the shampoo then stop and push it forward to suck the solution back up. So I’d kind of have to carry it around so the shampoo could sit or walk backwards in S shapes.

I really wanted one of those steam cleaners you see in home reno videos with a wide steam blade and long handle but couldn’t find that type

Oh and I tried out the Anko carpet shampooer. It’s not bad, I will warn you that it drinks up carpet shampoo fast as the small tank of solution doesn’t go very far.

Just to clean a short diagonal path where it was grubbiest and a few small areas next to it took two fills of the clean solution tank and two empties of the dirty tank. I used half the smallest recommended amount of cleaner on the second tank because that stuff is not cheap.

You can definitely get away with a smaller amount of cleaner and you may want to buy a bigger machine (Anko or not) if you want to do a whole area without constantly stopping to change the tank a bunch of times. I got the little one for price and storage considerations but it’s probably easier as a spot cleaner for small sections.

Don’t set the clean tank on its side while finding the shampoo bottle as it can leak (soaking your carpet).

It’s also extremely loud. Screamingly loud. My ears were ringing.

But it pulled out a lot of dirt into the water and the spots I did look cleaner. Dried okay as far as I can tell.

Unfortunately not his mum 😔 Just a weird neighbour who is watching out for him in worry for his wellbeing.

If you use it a lot don’t feel guilty getting another. You can have one in the wash and one on, or wear the thinner or thicker according to how cold it is.

With the winter bills you will want warm house clothes

Haven’t seen little man but checked the camera and he was hanging out on the back fence this morning. I wonder why he didn’t come round front.

Anyway it’s good to know he’s alright. Fingers crossed he can get his ringworm meds tonight as he wasn’t around to get them last night.

Can you complain to the staff? That kind of thing can border on harassment and put someone off coming to the gym (as well as being disgusting bully behaviour).

I’m not sure when this happened but I checked the site again and you can now get Aldi items delivered via Doordash. I don’t know what the delivery costs are like due to not wanting to use Doordash but letting everyone know delivery is now an option.

When accessed on the computer (doesn’t seem to be available on phone) there’s also sorting options for relevance, high to low, and low to high. Would have loved to have one for lowest unit cost but baby steps.

It’s cold

I cleared the room, moved the bed and vacuumed more of the floor.

spoilerI found another short little whisker and a shed claw sheath. And tripped over Melbcat’s food bowl so I had to sweep all the uneaten biccies up into the bin. 💔Her water bowl has dried up. I still can’t believe it.

Everything feels so bitter, lonely and sad.

No judgement here, it happens

That’s something I can get behind

This is a dish of spicy meat sauce, sausages or rissoles, cheese slices, and raw sweet onions over pasta salad and home fries (chunky homemade chips). With your preferred sauces.

If you wanted to make a simpler version with less cooking I’d probably either buy a can or two of bolognese sauce and add hot sauce, or just buy a few cans of something like Stagg chili to heat up. Replace the pasta salad with some heated up baked beans. Then top with grated cheese and chopped raw onion.

It’s probably got so many components due to being comprised of what was left over at a restaurant.

I wouldn’t waste time peeling. Microwaving potatoes for a minute or so each side with the skin on will help them slice easier and finish cooking faster in the oven or pan. Just don’t burn your fingers

As per title. I really hope it doesn’t get to this but with the energy crisis I figured this is probably relevant again.

Kmart and Big W have cheap options. Please leave some for the homeless! But if you’re really struggling tents can be had as cheaply as $13 with the next rank up being $39.

It goes without saying, please be careful about heating inside your tent. All of the warnings about fire hazards and carbon monoxide apply. Stay safe.

TL;DR: Arrive early to get the marked down meat/fish (and bread) which expires the next day. Freeze the extra.

I’m not organised enough for this and don’t eat these things but hopefully this is useful.

Another tip is to learn the day your local supermarket restocks and shop right before closing the night before. A lot of items will be on clearance.

One bakery used to have a discounted table of day old bread but that was a long time ago and I don’t really see that anymore.

If you don’t drive (and especially while PT is free) buy a wheeled shopping cart from a local $2 shop. You won’t regret this. Some of them are foil lined to help keep items cool as well.

I originally just wanted to blast out in c/Australia that there was help with pets if you are or became homeless.

But now I’m adding extra resources and products that are low cost and don’t require homelessness so it’s become more relevant to this instance. I wish I’d crossposted because now comments will be split but don’t know how to do that after the fact.

It’s coming into the cooler months. You still have options for winter veg.

I have a feeling a lot of belts will be tightening 🫩 Discuss your strategies here.
