Is this a reference to a story, or plain surrealism?

Wait isn't there a studio ghibli flick about that first one?

Edit: yeah the tale of princess kaguya

Ye but did you originally watch the fox special thirty years ago live that the moon landing was fake?

[–] MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca 1 points 10 months ago

Oh it wasn’t fake—they edited out the moon bunnies!

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

i like that you can see the moonlander

[–] ladicius@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

World's oldest science fiction proven world's oldest science fact. The Japanese were right all along!

Wait, I thought Chang'e was an adult woman. Is there a different moon-rabbit-lady story I don't know about?

Those don't seem to address the little girl. Kaguya grows quickly but is nevertheless apparently an adult by the time she goes to the moon. And the moon rabbit just loops back to Chang 'e.

Lol, I'm from a Chinese background and I saw the rabbit and my mind immediately thought of the 嫦娥 thing.
