Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

Where's Bev's lantern? And no O'Brien?!

They have Spot but no O'Brien?

[–] dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 14 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Worse, the shuttlecraft set stoops as far as having an Ensign Ro Laren minifig but still no O'Brien.

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 8 points 6 months ago

There had better be a planned transporter room with O'Brien and Broccoli (+ transporter worm/crewman)!

[–] Klanky@sopuli.xyz 8 points 6 months ago

Maybe saving him for a DS9 set? :-D

[–] SatyrSack@quokk.au 7 points 6 months ago

Guinan, but no O'Brien, is quite a choice.

[–] KraeuterRoy@feddit.org 2 points 6 months ago

LEGO is notorious for leaving out or relegating (or rather: paywalling) minifigures to GWPs. So no surprise there.

Maybe he'll be part of a similarly overpriced DS9 set in the future.

[–] negativenull@piefed.world 21 points 6 months ago

They forgot another character:

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 21 points 6 months ago (2 children)

400 bucks for that? LEGO is out of their fucking minds, it's worth maybe half that.

[–] CyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 6 months ago (1 children)

How long did you not look at Lego's pricing? XD

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)

You seem to have mistaken greed for value.

[–] CyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 6 months ago (1 children)

No, I don't think so. Compared to other companies, Lego is massively overpriced and has been for years (and no, Lego does not offer better quality).

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago (1 children)
[–] CyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

But then I don't get your comment, at least not your second one.

First, you criticise Lego's pricing, which I extend ("has been for a long time") but then you say I mistake greed for value? I don't get it.

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 0 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

LEGO is being greedy by charging more money than their product is worth. I'm not sure what you don't seem to understand. LEGO wants you to pay 400 dollars for a set that has a value of 200 tops and the actual value likely much less than that.

[–] CyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 6 months ago

I don't understand why you'd say I would mistake greed for value when all I do is agree with you on Lego overpricing their products and saying that this is neither new nor exclusive to this set.

[–] Tattorack@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)

"Look at all this money. Boy do I have so much money. What will I ever do with this much money?"

Anyway, this is what I believe our typical customers are.

[–] SatyrSack@quokk.au 16 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I thought this was the original, but while searching for this, I learned that the comic was originally about Diablo Immortal.

[–] Tattorack@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

Oh, hah, someone actually made a LEGO version? I only ever knew the original one about Diablo.

[–] ch00f@lemmy.world 16 points 6 months ago (1 children)
[–] leftzero@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 6 months ago

No chair, though.

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Does the saucer pop off to reveal a bridge? For that price I need a bridge.

[–] BlackVenom@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

The death star was disappointing... This doesn't even have an inside!?

[–] Multiplexer@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 6 months ago

So looks like Bluebrixx lost the Star Trek license to Lego then...
Shame, they had some really nice models :-(

I have a small (~300pcs each) Enterprise-A and a Bird of Prey.
And a 1:1 klingon d'k tahg knife with movable parts, which is really cool looking.

[–] onigiri@sh.itjust.works 8 points 6 months ago

I wish they had made a bridge set instead. Also, sad there is no Q. :(

[–] Davel23@fedia.io 7 points 6 months ago

From other angles it looks a bit better than the image they released a couple of days ago... but not much.

[–] Olgratin_Magmatoe@slrpnk.net 7 points 6 months ago (1 children)

For $400 I'd expect the saucer section to be detachable.

[–] UESPA_Sputnik@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

Check out this video at 4:00 to see how the saucer separation works.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 6 months ago

There's a Westly Sweater minifig.

[–] Don_alForno@feddit.org 6 points 6 months ago

The BlueBrixx one was something like half that price.

[–] Shipgirlboy@sh.itjust.works 5 points 6 months ago (1 children)
[–] negativenull@piefed.world 3 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

It does look like stickers :(

if you look at the NCC1701 on the bottom

[–] StupidOriginalName@lemmy.world 5 points 6 months ago (1 children)

It could be, but the gameboy mostly used printed elements so I'd wait to see some confirmation before assuming stickers

[–] KraeuterRoy@feddit.org 1 points 6 months ago

Nintendo seems to have some sense of quality standards, their licensed LEGO sets have an unusually high amount of prints.

This is not common. Hell, LEGO even put dozens of stickers in the 1000$ death star. If the marketing picture has stickers, the set will have stickers. The only question is: how many?

[–] rakzcs@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago

So it begins… soon Lego will have all of our wealth and organs.

[–] Klanky@sopuli.xyz 4 points 6 months ago

Give me a Speed Champions-esque line of starships, maybe each coming with one minifigure, and I'd buy the heck out of that!

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I hope the stickers are just a prototype thing...

[–] thezeesystem@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 6 months ago

They should sell it exactly how much it costs money wise for the the enterprise to make in the show! That would be cool!

[–] QueenMidna@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 months ago

I guess my dreams of an enterprise E kit are long off

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

This is gonna look great next to our Mega Bloks Enterprise-D

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 2 points 6 months ago

Lego just keeps making cool sets that I can't justify paying the premium for.

[–] Soktopraegaeawayok@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

I feel weird that even Ensign Ro Laren gets a Lego character... I guess anyone can be a Lego character these days.
