I don't see anything about Islam or women in El-Sayed's platform though, so that's irrelevant.

Again, this only becomes relevant to policy if El-Sayed has said he plans to vote according to this or that Islamic ruling. To my knowledge he's said no such thing.
I don't think we can separate a politician from their beliefs and preferences. Even if said politician isn't mentioning it in the agenda.
I mean, you can think whatever you want, but in concrete terms what are you afraid that he'll do?
I'm afraid he would make decisions taking into account Islamic beliefs.
And religion is a cancer. We have enough cancer already.
