Talking about how stupid streamers are, just make them more popular.

Just stop fucking posting about them

No one wants to hear about them, even if it's jokes at their expense, because the vast majority of them (especially this shit stain) have obvious and vlearly sever mental issues.

I wish I knew nothing about this guy, but he's clearly fucked in the head. So punching at him is punching down for anyone of even a below average intelligence.

I'll never understand how these people got popular.. from what I can tell they just sit in front of a camera and scroll some feed and talk about random stuff without any actual expertise or credible information. How is that entertaining? Why would people choose to watch that over shows that have interviews with actual experts and are much more informative.

Unfortunately I believe it's because theyre all just like him. It's their safe echo chamber where they get to listen to "their guy" belittle and punch down all the people they don't like. He's the "politically incorrect" voice they love to hear and he constantly reinforces their worldview.

They aren't looking for experts, they're looking for fellow tribe mates to reinforce their existing biases.

Ironic, this is basically lemmy in a nutshell.

Same. I don't want to watch some idiot play computer games. I'd rather play computer games than watch someone else do it.

I think it's a generational difference. These fucks target children which is why tons of streamers say "unalive" and stuff like that, so they can talk about adult concepts without getting filtered out of children's feeds. Kids grew up watching YouTube and finding these people playing games and probably grew into it, talking about streamers who do cringey shit, like I used to talk to my friends about X-Men and shit like that.

I don't want to say it was better back in my day, but ffs it kinda was in a lot of respects.

Between 13% and 16% of the kids in the U.S. live below the poverty line. What you're observing is the tragic case of wealth inequality. It has only become more cost prohibitive to play video games, and as a result streamers get bigger and bigger. This has become true for almost every aspect of life that is popularized by streamers.

You should recognize that this statement:

I'd rather play computer games than watch someone else do it.

is one that can only come from privilege.

Now, I'm not calling you out on your privilege — I just need you to understand that this isn't a generational divide. This is a class divide. As the class divide deepens and wealth inequality skyrockets — these things will only get worse.

I suspect it's a quirk of memetics.

I saw a journalist who reached out and met with some of Asmongold's fans and many of them said they like him because they also live in their own filth, don't take care of themselves, and didn't get far in school. So they see Asmongold as a hero because he's like them but figured out how to be rich in the process.

Asmongold doesn't have to live in filth anymore he can literally hire people to clean his house everyday, but he knows if he does that he will lose his supporters so he doesnt.

I’ll never understand how these people got popular

Because people post about how stupid they are.

That creates an incentive for them to say dumber shit, creating a feedback loop where the ones with the least shame become the most popular.

Most of the people viewing streams by people like that, are "hate watching" but that inflates the views and people not in on the joke thinks it's popular views and believe it.

Like that old Mitchell and Webb sketch, views are views.

The ironic part is they were talking about Trump's show that led to him becoming president.

Asmon started out as a popular WoW streamer. When it came to WoW he generally knew what he was talking about.

Unfortunately he transitioned to talking about shit he had no clue about. And much of his younger mostly male audience stuck with him. Because they're just as informed as he is. And he tells them what they want to hear.

Are you surprised a typo happened?

Or are you saying you can't figure out thru context what those should be?

Either way bro...

It doesn't make you look very good
