The study of how factors such as geography, economics, military capability and non-State actors affects the foreign policy of states.

All articles will require a short submission statement of 3-5 sentences.

Use the article title as the submission title. Do not editorialize the title or add your own commentary to the article title.

In this community we encourage long, in-depth submissions. Submissions should not be news articles that merely provide quick updates on current events; instead they should include background information and an explanation as to why the events they describe are occurring.

Submissions should not be about an individual country's domestic policies. Instead, they should be about relationships between different countries and/or relevant international organizations. Things like breakaway politics are permitted in this subreddit, as they are relevant to and could affect the geopolitical system.

Submissions are strongly encouraged to come from reputable sources. When posting from a lesser known source, please check whether the authors have some sort of qualification demonstrating they are knowledgeable of the subjects they discuss.

Sources that include (or solely contain) maps, statistics, or other multimedia (videos, interviews, primary sources, etc.) are permitted and even encouraged in this subreddit.

We encourage discussion and welcome anyone to pose hypotheses and ask questions. We allow self-posts.

We encourage comments to be cited.

Approximately 80% of Iran’s economic activity is driven by the state sector, which includes state-owned and semi-state-owned companies (source)

Not that there're many "normies" here, but if one sees that, opposing zionism doesn't mean that Iran would oppose the formation of a jewish state in Europe or the U.S.A.
In fact, since we(sterners) are the ones who feel guilty towards jews after the Shoah(, and the centuries/millenias prior), then it should be from our lands that a territory is given to the jewish people(, a land often taken from amerindians or aboriginal australians). Another possibility would be to give something in exchange of the Holy Lands considered by the vast majority of the Ummah as being of equal/superior value.
Instead of a fair exchange, we'll just take these territories by force, and accuse those resisting of antisemitism, as if we were accusing the indigenous people of the world of being anti-westerners for opposing colonization, or the arabs of christianophobia for opposing the Crusades. They're obviously defending their lands(, and no less than the Holy Lands where the abrahamic religions were born).

There's something i never said on lemmygrad before, but one has to be fair, if Israel isn't allowed this other western territory(, and doesn't have anything else to offer), and understandably doesn't want to disappear forever, then the responsability lays on the west to make this situation a fair one(, we(sterners) could ask for a division in three of the holy lands by offering two territories, one for jews and one for muslims, solutions exist, it's important to publicly discuss solutions).
Otherwise, right now, it's just the (anti-)''law'' of the strongest, wouldn't we(sterners) benefit from seeking&doing what is the most virtuous[1] in all situations ?

~(and~ ~if~ ~i'm~ ~breaking~ ~a~ ~rule~ ~then~ ~it~ ~was~ ~involuntary,~ ~in~ ~the~ ~v4(1.0)~ ~you'll~ ~be~ ~able~ ~to~ ~send~ ~a~ ~warning~~,~ ~until~ ~then~ ~just~ ~let~ ~me~ ~know~ ~the~ ~rule~ ~i~ ~broke~ ~and~ ~i'll~ ~delete~ ~this~ ~comment)~

What is virtuous about colonization? Palestinian Jews, Muslims and christians lived together before the Zionist entity and can again under a single state, without Jewish supremacy.

Did they really justify colonialism? What in the world ...

[–] Pierre121000@lemmy.ml 0 points 3 weeks ago

A one-state solution then, i included it and many people are defending that indeed, what remains to be seens is under what conditions, thanks for your answer.
(And as you probably already know, i've never said nor thought that colonization is virtuous)

Holy shit bro is still speedrunning getting banned

[–] Pierre121000@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

XD, and this time you played no role in it "bro" !
I'm convinced that you never thought i was an ableist, but if i'm wrong then hit me in the DMs so you can explain why i am what i'm not.

And if you don't believe i'm an ableist, then why was it the official reason for my ban, just like they did for zionism, or when they permabanned soumerd_retardataire@lemmygrad.ml for ban evasion even if sousmerde_rtrdataire@lemmygrad.ml wasn't banned, or right now when they permabanned sousmerde_rtrdataire@lemmygrad.ml even if my comment with my lemmy.ml kindly asked for a warning instead, they just couldn'"t care less, and see me as an enemy even if i'm an ally.
I'm supposed to magically know the limits of what i'm allowed to say even if there's no warning, you're not allowed to disagree, nor even to understand.

It's simple, you have 4 options :

  • benefiting both israelis and palestinians
  • only benefiting palestinians
  • only benefiting israelis
  • benefiting none of them
I argued for the first one. It's factual that the second one isn't the only pro-palestinian option among the available options, since i've not been explained what i did wrong i won't change my mind.

There is absolutely no justification for any state based on supremacism

[–] Pierre121000@lemmy.ml 0 points 3 weeks ago

I think that Israel's colonization&destruction of Palestine is the root cause/problem, and trying to find another solution than Israel's destruction, that's all.
