It's a treasured tradition in Australia and New Zealand: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_bread

In short:

A digital upgrade to the Opal transport network will allow concession cardholders and pensioners to use contactless payment.

The government says the changes will also make it easier for these groups to get free trips once they hit the fare cap.

What's next?

The changes will gradually take effect from April 16.

Religious and community leaders are urging the Australian government to take a harder stance on Israel as it continues to bombard Lebanon

No problem. A trick you might find handy is that you can upload an image to this site by putting the image in the body of the post temporarily (first you'll have to download it, of course). Once you've uploaded it into the post body you can grab the image URL (now on aussie.zone) from there to put in the 'Thumbnail URL' field, and then delete the image from the post body.

Sometimes you can get problems if you try to use an image URL that's hosted on another site, because those sites prevent 'hotlinking' of images a.k.a. 'piggybacking'. Lemmy doesn't automatically re-host external images set in 'Thumbnail URL', so doing it yourself with that trick above may help you avoid issues.

Did you try putting the link in the 'URL' field and the custom image in the 'Thumbnail URL'? That looks to me to get the result you want.

I've made an example post on c/Meta: https://aussie.zone/post/30690873

Does that look like what you want?

Time out from the heavy stuff. This video is not only interesting but will put a smile on your face. It is not rude so can be shared with children (but not young ones as they may not understand) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXjfz0N_JXg

I would guess the artists will also need to get mostly paid with a cancellation as late as this. Three weeks out, the musical acts have spent money on travel costs, support staff, costumes, pyrotechnics, gear hire, etc., and they've also forgone booking other gigs for those dates.

Basically, everyone the festival would have paid, they're going to need to pay a significant amount, or even the full amount, when they're cancelling so late.

Add to that, they probably cancelled because they didn't sell enough tickets, and so they don't have that much cash laying around to begin with.

Post link is just an image, again, not the video. Just to let you know, since you said to.

Very cute echidna, btw

I'm not an expert, but albinism is generally recessive, so if they breed an albino with a non-albino it's very unlikely any offspring will have albinism.

The UK listings for the word on the Cambridge dictionary are pretty reflective of Australian usage: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/punter

UK
a person who gambles

UK informal
a customer; a user of services or buyer of goods

All are in thrall to the amoral leadership of the fossil fuel and finance industries, determined to maximise short-term profit regardless of the consequences. There is no evidence that either the political or business leadership have the capacity or courage to face the big threats we face, the security implications of the crisis in the Gulf being just one of many.

Not mincing words!
