Do you think actions like this ultimately scare people away from the left causing people to think leftists are unreasonably unlawful and violent?

I'm gonna pay you $0 to fuck off (with ublock)

I wouldn't trust Trump not to drop a bomb "just" because civilians will die.

So I recently installed Cachyos and I am now met with this problem.

There are kind of 2 main contenders here and I'm split between them. What do you use?

There is pacman + aur and then there is flatpak. Pacman has deep system integration and is much more lightweight but it has deep system integration and requires sudo to install. flatpak has sandboxing and easy permission management but it's bloated and possibly less performant?

Of course if the package isn't available on flathub then I will have to use the aur but when both are available it's hard to decide.

Not entirely sure how Trump can be simultaneously wiping out an entire civilisation and simultaneously saving that same civilisation.

The default search engine!

Ok it does make sense Firefox gets a ton of money from it but it still sucks. Come use our private search engine and escape from google, actually google is our default search engine there is no escaping (manacle laughter!)

Also I believe betterfox + ublock origin should be the default Firefox config. I have used betterfox for nearly 2 years now and I have NEVER had any issues with websites breaking.

Well I just a mac mostly as well and it's not an issue... But yeah as the other guy stated turn on the prompt.

If you search up "closing" in settings there is a section that allows you to enable it.

Thanks for pointing this out, I just used an LLM detector and it said it was likely 100% AI generated.

Its different this time. And you know it.

Nix what the...

Thats great to here. Ive been using cachyos for a few weeks now and its been great so far as well, the aur is just amazing.

[–] pineapple@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 days ago

Sure, sure. But its definitely going to be this year.

I dont find this an issue for me. And even if it was my firefox asks for confirmation before quitting for me.

I took a break from mechanical keyboards because I had a keyboard I was happy with. Now I need another for a second desk and it seems like all the keyboards people recommend now are fully pre-built.

This doesn't make sense to me, I really like the ability to chose my switches and keycaps (especially my keycaps). I don't see why you would get a keyboard that already has these when the first thing your going to do is replace them.

Sorry for low quality post.

Also Iran has some very beautiful landscape

I can't believe I've never thought about this and that no one is really talking about it. GPS is a system that everyone uses everyday on there phone and is constantly tracking your location.

Many people here (including myself) use airplane mode to block mobile data signals so that mobile data companies cannot track your location and sell it to data brokers. But airplane mode doesn't block GPS (I just tested this now on my phone, maybe your phone works differently). Is GPS somehow designed in a way so that it's private?

I'm not really sure if I have adhd or not at the moment and I just realised this. I'm not sure if this is related to adhd at all but I just find it weird looking into peoples eyes, when I listen to people I usually look out a window or something and sometimes people ask me weather I am listening and I didn't even realise I was looking out a window I kind of just assumed they knew I was listening.

Also as a side note, I have a lot of symptoms of adhd but I'm not sure if to enough of an extent, since I see a lot that everyone has the symptoms of adhd just not to the extent of someone that actually has adhd has.

Do you also have that one comment in the bottom of your lemmy inbox that you've been meaning to respond to for the last several weeks or months but you keep putting it off?

Do you also sit on your couch or bed and just stair out the window for like 30 minutes or longer at a time?

I also have struggle focusing on school work, this hasn't always been the case but it's a lot more now. Once the coffee from the morning wears off I can't focus for long enough to finish a small portion of a single Maths question before I'm staring out the window thinking about something completely unrelated, then about 5-10 minutes later I realised I'm distracted.

You've probably also noticed a pattern at this point, I love staring out windows!

I've spent a while looking at this point and all the options I've tried so far don't work very well. I'm looking for an app, website or desktop program that has the ability to navigate using public transport. At the moment the best thing I've found is osmand but sometimes it just doesn't work, it will just spend ages loading without ever finishing (I've let it load for at least 10 minutes) Also comaps/organic maps can only do short distances or it just crashes out saying there is no route available.

Does anyone have any good options or is osm still only have very primitive public transport offerings?

So I want to setup a remote backup location at my parents house although they are very mindful about there electricity usage and environmental impact (and so am I) so I don't want to have to have a pc always on when it doesn't need to be.

Is it possible to setup remote Wake-on-lan so I can schedule my homelab at my place to wake up the server at my parents house and start a backup like once a week, I want to do this in a secure fashion as well so ideally no port forwarding, I currently use cloudflare tunnels for my home network.

Are there any other options or do you have a similar setup at your place?

I just wanted cheap cables

I just got a message on my app forcing me to agree to let the app look at when I scroll and scan what apps I have on my phone, in the name of "preventing hackers" which kinda sucks. Any banks that actually respect your privacy in Australia? or does anyone have tips to make banking more private?

Yes I know graphene-os has sandboxing, no I'm not buying a new phone.
