You seem to be knowledgeable about XMPP.. How does XMPP's E2EE compare to matrix'?

I tried XMPP and Matrix a few days ago. The XMPP experience is SO MUCH BETTER. HOLLY FUCK.

Matrix is so laggy and clunky and slow and annoying. XMPP was just perfect. And the "Conversations" client, for XMPP, is so fucking fast. It is missing a few things, such as swipe to quote/reply to a given message, but damn, is it fast.

Yes, this is what happened. All my comments with the "join-lemmy.org" link had only 1 view and 1 upvote (mine). This was happening in several of my accounts (each account for a different device). I found that weird, so I checked the comments from a different account and surely enough, they were removed.

Then it might be because I have posted that link several times. Interestingly, my other comments are not removed, only the comments with the link.

Oh well. I will find some other way to remove some money from reddit's wallets. Bunch of pedophile protectors.

But then your buddies will want to join some other server, hosted by someone else, and so they will have to create yet another account. And have yet another client running?

And also, some suggestions:

• Your XMPP is also down. I just came across this by luck. Maybe adding your alternative username (kris@feddit.org) to your main povoq@slrpnk.net about is not a bad idea. That would help people find your posts when an outage is happening.
• A status page (status.slrpnk.net) where you (admins) can leave comments? Perhaps, when slrpnk.net is down, automatically redirect there?

Buddy, I hope you will lose social permission to keep your head attached to your body. All your heads on spikes, is what I dream of.

People keep saying that, but is that really true? Because I just don't see society having any sort of memory.

For fuck sake, the guy is a rapist, pedophile, liar of the highest order. No one cares. Sure, some people are moving away from US services/products, but 1. Not that many people are doing it and 2. Once a non pedophile, war-monger gets back in the presidency, some little bit of marketing and everyone will go back to buying US.

I see all your posts. And I understand that the government does not speak for yourself. I have compassion for your situation, of course. But, truly, your "I am sorry" really is useless. Please don't go thinking that your "I am sorry" message is enough. That you are doing something. That message is akin to doing nothing. Hopefully, you are doing more than that.

And also, dear Americans, whatever it is you are doing, you could be doing more.

I think you should write the e-mail, and show it to them. And I think you should also show it to your community. Leave it in their mailboxes.

And if that does not work: I think we should all start being a little bit more aggressive. Key their cars. Set it on fire. Make it known that not listening to the governed, to the community, is a bad move.

Bullying is something that we need to start doing more often. Make it known that going against the people is worse than going against corporations. This is a war, the people vs the corporations. Corporations are fighting dirty. We need to do it too.

• Because using AI is absolutely not good for the environment? It is increasing climate change. We are at 1.5 C already, we are absolutely fucked. For example, see this: https://zacklabe.com/archive-2025/. And remember that the arctic is/has a positive feedback mechanism. Once the tipping point is hit, it is practically impossible to stop it. This should be enough reason to avoid using AI as much as possible.
• AI increases inequality. AI is here to solve one thing: Wages. The AI bros want to increase income inequality, and all others forms of inequality, really, though they basically all derive from the buying power. By using AI, you are making it a point that you have no issues with that.

And also, look what the AI field is doing to the RAM/SSD shortage.

I had no idea that this instance was pro AI. What the fuck guys? I would never have thought that anarchists would be using AI. AI worsens the sense of community. It creates and feeds oppressive hierarchies.

I feel vindicated. A few months/years? ago, everyone was saying Mark Cuban was the exception to the rule "all billionaires suck". I always claimed otherwise, fuck Mark Cuban, he also sucks. And here we are, the guy is just as hated nowadays...

Seriously. What is the way out? Society is taking such an ugly turn. Reality seems to not matter anymore. These guys have their own reality, full of lies and fake info. And people eat it up.

Is the way out to just... have everyone on the brink of collapse, so they can feel, with their own senses, that things are bad?
