PR is Labour's opportunity to leave a truly meaningful legacy. But I'm sure they'll continue to be utterly hubristic, refuse to change anything on the off-chance the entire population suddenly changes their minds, and get wiped out at the next General while saddling us with Life President Farage

And a lot pf those wouldn't be up there if US broadband providers had just got on with providing a good service. If they had, we almost certainty wouldn't have Starlink

Why doesn't he have the courage simply to say Brexit was a mistake? Everyone who disagrees with that has long abandoned Labour and saying it - something I'm sure he believes - would lose him zero votes and potentially gain him more than zero

I'm old enough to remember the first, when it didn't even have a number. I also owned one of the single-digit ones. God I'm old

You can't do it overnight, no. But you can rapidly agree that it needs to be done

The cost of employing staff isn't related to the cost of what people eat - it's a function of how long the restaurant is open and how busy it is. It doesn't make sense that I pay more for the staff if I order a £40 bottle of wine versus a £20 bottle. If you're going to make customers pay separately like this,it should be a cover charge per head

I recently bought a (different brand of) smart telescope and these things are great. Obviously the light-gathering capacity is much lower than traditional astrophotography setups, but the ease of use is incredible. Kudos to the engineers who make these things.

Lumo, from Proton (Switzerland, I believe)

We also need to think about OP's potential shipmates, who might not benefit from being out at sea with a rootless suicidal person. It would be more responsible for OP to get their head straight before locking themselves away with a handful of strangers miles from anywhere

I think the best model would be that you top up an account and pay some small amount per search. That's also a bit more transparent, and directly linked to use

I'm curious how many Restore votes are former Reform voters who are attracted to the more hard-line stance, and how many are former Reform voters who are too dumb or inattentive to tell the two (admittedly quite similar) names apart

Looks like another very strong line-up

Gboard is getting visibly worse almost on a daily basis, especially autocorrecting perfectly legitimate words, presumably based on dubious analysis of other people's writing. So what's worth trying? The ability to swipe type is a big plus

There are several roads near me where it's legal to walk - but where I know that walking would be extremely dangerous because of no footways, narrow carriageways and fast traffic. Is there a way to flag these that would help OSM-based routing services like Strava and Komoot stop recommending them? I know the local area well enough to ignore Strava when it suggests I run along these roads, but I fear for people who don't, and assume the route will be okay

I turned on the workout recommendations on my Fenix 6 Pro months ago. I've been hunting through settings on my watch and in the app, but can I find the option again?

Could anybody put me out of my misery and remind me where the setting is?

Ideally for absolute beginners?
