i wonder how large a drone would have to be to support a light-weight, but high RPM, 22lr gun? say printed in PA12CF, for instance.

Been thinking about long range drones a lot lately. Great for surveiling surrounding areas, and many other use cases

Might be related to whatever Melania's recent announcement about Epstein was about.
Might be some news dropping

yep very! just needed to have wireless adb enabled on the tv. just enter the TV ip in the integration setup in HA

I finally found out you can use the Android Debug Bridge integration to play specific YouTube videos on Smarttube (adfree youtube app)!

This is triggered when I get home, along with my lights turning on. I have additional actions to set the volume low as well.

You just need to have ADB enabled on the TV and enter it's IP in the integration setup (leave port as is)

Now I am wondering if I can set it up to play my favorite shows in Stremio, starting where I left off last.

action: androidtv.adb_command
metadata: {}
target:
  device_id: 31ecf6603ac8b90769db6a689d0bbeb9
data:
  command: >-
    am start -a android.intent.action.VIEW -d
    "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VT0uftcDICg" org.smarttube.stable

I know this is old but you can use the Android Debug Bridge integration to trigger specific videos on your Android tv. I have it start a fireplace video on a Smart tube (adfree youtube) when I get home and set the volume low.

I'm using just humidity and its working great. I put the sensor away from my sink so it isn't triggered by washing my hands.

This will only consider you showering if humidity goes 9% above the 1hr average humidity:

You need a 'Statistics' Helper, call it "Average Bathroom Humidity" and base it on whatever humidity sensor you have. Make it "average linear" then set Max Age to 1 hour. (leave other options default)

Make this Template Binary Sensor called "Showering":

{{ (states('sensor.bathroom_sensor_humidity')|float - states('sensor.average_bathroom_humidity')|float) > 9 }}

The servers are the filters 😊 To be clear when I say servers I mean old laptops running my nextcloud and homeassistant

Mostly sun, but the hail is brutal too (but not often)

Everyone's car here has the most sun faded paint filled with cracks and chips. Cars younger than mine look 50 years old

We don't talk about that room... 🤫

But for real it's a walk in closet. I have my servers in there, along with clothes and storage. I plan to put stats on the dashboard in that spot

I used SweetHome3D + Gimp to recreate my whole home!

Lots of measuring and downloading textures and models, but I finally have a digital 'clone' of my home!

The lights all react to changes in color and brightness, and are clickable. I made the buttons transparent so it looks cleaner.

Thermostat is in the center, if clicked it opens the thermostat options. The background glow of the temperature turns blue when cooling and red when heating (black when idle)

My 3D Printer can be turned on by clicking on it too, plus it shows the current progress if it is running.

I'd love to see other people's floorplans for ideas, comment with a pic if you have one set up!

I constantly forget to take showers due to depression. I know I'm not the only one 😂 summer is early here in Texas and I don't want to be the stinky dude

Uses the humidity readings of my bathroom to determine whether I was in the shower:

  • A running 1 hour average of the bathroom humidity is measured.
  • If the current humidity is 8% above the average, it is triggered as "wet".
  • Then it marks down the last time, and then converts that to "days & hours since" last shower.

I have a badge at the top of my main dashboard that will let me know how long it's been. It's already been useful. If I see anything over 2 days I know it's past time for a shower

I got a false positive from washing my hands when it was set to trigger by 5% increases, so I changed it to 8%.

Happy to share my code if anyone wants to do the same!

Edit: code in a comment below!

SuperSafe DeAR22 (lemmy.world)

Shooting this will never get old.

I modified one of the printed SuperSafety trips (debo's version) so the dwell time is basically 0. I've estimated it at 1200RPM based on slow-mo video. (20 rounds per second)

I also printed my bolt weight, and filled it with tungsten powder. This works surprisingly well, I cant see ANY bolt bounce in slow-mo.

Most of it is printed in PA12-CF some in PLA+ (like the brace)

I used to have so many issues with my barrel nuts softening when I used to shoot binary. This PA12-CF is taking repeated mag dumps like a champ. over 1k rounds through this exact configuration.

Printing a SME for sound mitigation too.

I checked AI about the exact legality, it said not only is it good to go unregistered, it is a "living museum of the inadequacies of the ATF" :)

Brace, not stock.
SME, not suppressor.
AFG, not VFG.
SuperSafe, not FA.

This dock allows you to route a USB cable into it so you can drop your XMax v3 Pro on it to charge.

The USB-C hole is larger than most plugs on purpose so most will fit. Use a small amount of glue to secure the cable in place.

I suggest routing it through the dock, then plug it into the vape. Apply a little glue to the edges of the USB cable and insert it all into the dock. This will ensure it always connects when you put the vape down.

I also will be selling this via my webstore, printed/shipped or as an STL (if you wanted to support me)

I made a magsafe mount in black for my Kia and I didn't like the layer lines on the curved parts, but it gave me the idea to try using wood

I have a 3D Chameleon MMU so I added color changes randomly throughout between two shades of brown. One is wood, one is PLA.

It honestly came out way better than I even expected!

If anyone wants the STL I can provide it!

I was curious if the new pixel fold would catch my attention but it looks like it is still not as good as the open.

The bezels are way too big for 2024, and the curved corners are really drastic.

They also didn't upgrade the camera, so the telephoto is still stuck at 5x 10mp....

I guess the OPO is king in the US for another year?
