Mate the drama of getting Gibson into her carrier. Ended up having to use the jumbo size one :(

Yep just dropped her off at the vet. Reckon they'll buzz me a bit later today.

I assume the sedative she got was gabapentin otherwise thatโs a suggestion.
Melbcat is usually very good but when she was first getting used to it I would tip the carrier onto its back end and gently drop her in. That sometimes buys you a second to shut the door before they rocket back out. A top-down carrier is also an option.
Another cat I had to trick by putting treats inside so heโd half go in and then quickly pushing his bottom in to shut the door.

I had that with a candle I bought for my girlfriend. You didn't even have to light it, you could just open the lid and smell it since it was so strong.
Also, I remember reading a guide on how to burn a candle years ago. It sounds like a silly concept but it was advice on how to stop the wick tunneling into the wax so it was actually quite useful
These are just 100% beeswax, no added scents. Ideal burn time is a thing, you'll waste them lighting for too short a period.
Running the figures. 1kg of wax needs 8kg of honey, so 130kgs of honey for 16kgs. Say you put 10g of honey on toast that's 13,000 slices of toast w/ honey (!).
Or enough mead for a damn good day in Valhalla

I'm having a bit of an overdramatic moment because shit sleep. Today has been a bit of a shit day. I don't think this job is right for me. I enjoyed teaching one class but the other went tumultuously. I think I might focus on younger year levels if I continue but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to put this mental health shit aside and not have a breakdown.
You enjoyed one class. Focus on that. ๐บYou are allowed to choose to do the things you enjoy.
spose i better clean up the front porch again, I spent over an hour repotting and cleaning it yesterday only for the wind last night to smash some plants and turn over pots.

So tiredโฆ Melbcatโs med times desyncing isnโt going to be easy to handle. But whatever. Iโm just going to have to follow the alarms and cat nap between doses.
Iโve ordered some supplements that may help her bladder as antibiotics may worsen antibiotic resistance :( And some more oral syringes.
Tomorrow/today I book the home visit for her blood pressure and try to finish tidying up for that. Hopefully the vets bring the medication if itโs ready.
Despite it all sheโs a trooper. Still jumping up and down from her chair by herself, eating her meals, and wanting to look outside.
