That’s not true it’s just a mouth service to end Palestine protests. In fact, Turkiye is the 5th biggest trade partner for Isn’treal

Right. I don’t trust that watermelon seller any further than I can throw him.

The gov says We don’t trade with Israel as a economic policy but we don’t care what private sector is doing (They’re trading everything they eat in Israel and last year many Turkish companies awarded by Israeli ministers). Another, proof is trade with Israel seems like decreasing but somehow trade with Jordan is increasing. So, they sell to Jordan first to get around.

Here’s an article in Turkish to explain this: https://www.evrensel.net/haber/554696/turkiye-israil-ile-ticarette-5-sirada

An official Israeli government site that celebrates awards: https://itrade.gov.il/turkiye/israil-turkiye-ticaret-odulleri-sahiplerini-buldu/

If they are just "reaffirming" then they can get fucked because its bullshit. Are the pipelines closed? Have they stopped transiting their trade through a 3rd party?

They said this same thing verbatim May 2024. It's all talk

I wonder if there's a falling out between them over carving up Syria.

Maybe we will see trade with Azerbaijan rise again, who will send Turkey's goods to Israel. This is not the first time that Turkey pretended to boycot Israel.

[–] kasama@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 10 months ago

I wish I could believe that after what Turkiye pulled last year.
