7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I watched this video awhile ago about 3 Yale professors leaving the U.S. because of the rise in fascism.

There's an expression in Polish: "I found myself at the very bottom. And then I heard knocking from below." In Russian that gets abbreviated to "dna ne sushchestvuet" - "there is no bottom". We need an inverse lottery. The top 100 most wealthy Americans are automatically added to a pool and one is drawn at random each year. Then we confiscate everything they own, put them in the street, and see if they can get rich again.

My thought was; you get to keep anything up to a billion every year. Everything over that goes into a public fund, that fund gets named after who put the most in, they get their name on the bills that come out, those bills (same as green backs) get paid to community projects, workers, infrastructure maintenance, and the billionaires get to put their names on it

Satan IS woke! He wants you to have knowledge and think for yourself! He wants you to be a responsible adult and live your best life. All God wants is blind obedience, and to suffer in this life in order to spent eternity locking his feet in the afterlife.
I'm not religious but I feel like the whole thing about the apple and acquiring knowledge is pretty much the OG woke-ness.
It's not a "new red line". This is something that has already been tested in the courts because of a law written during WWII. It's only allowed in very narrow circumstances.
For instance:
If someone serves in a foreign military/government and they still have citizenship and it can be proven that it was voluntary.
The same law that allowed for that also attempted to allow for denaturalization in cases where someone:
- Deserted military service during wartime.
- Voted in a foreign election.
But these were both found to be unconstitutional.
