What is a Tankie?

Brigading/Trolling — If you're here because this community was linked in another thread, please refrain from maliciously voting, commenting, or manipulating the post in any way. Tankies can explain their views, but may be criticised or challenged for them. Any minor infraction of the rules may result in a warning and possibly a temporary ban.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically last only 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction doubles the duration. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.

Reality is a team sport, to some people. They have no objective means of evaluating claims. In their worldview, that is not what claims are for.

Their bodies have adapted so well to boot licking, they can actually get sick and die from shoe polish withdrawal. That's the only rational explanation I can come up with.
Also US citizens are allowed to criticize the US.
Pretty sure North Korean citizens are also allowed to criticize the US so no fundamental difference here (/s if not obvious)

It does feel bad, but I keep thinking about the people who don't know any better falling into that way of thinking. If there is at least one person in there questioning their circle jerk. I feel like it can save people a lot of trouble.

I love how this kinds of communities describe themselfes as welcome to discussion and the write all the "facts" as a rule and everybody who says anything els gets banned.
Yeah, I don't really understand why tankies pretend to be liberals so much. So many of their communities are all like 'discussion welcome!'
But of course it isn't actually welcome. I've noticed that it's special to tankies, and that other extremists openly embrace their ignorance.
I like how this ignores that not only did the DPRK start the war, but the vast majority of the UN lined up behind South Korea, after the USSR stormed out of the security council meeting - they still had quorum, but the Soviets apparently assumed they didn’t, or would adjourn, or something. They didn’t. As a direct result, United Nations Command was established to specifically support South Korea in 1950.
I want every ml in the world to move to north korea or china or any country they stan so much and live there for the rest of their life so that they will feel how "great" and "democratic" these "utopias" are.
They absolutely can move to their favourite places. Iran, China, Russia -- But they never do. They're very lazy. Or perhaps deep down they know that their entire being is a trend that they latched onto to look better.
