UK pigs be like, "Oink, innit bruv?"

[–] dethedrus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 25 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I’m so fucking basic. Any combination of “innit” and “bruv” makes me giggle like an idiot.

[–] Kertyna@feddit.nl 2 points 4 days ago

Every time I hear "innit", I think Paul Chowdhry on Taskmaster.

[–] notabot@piefed.social 16 points 4 days ago

"Oi, you can't oink there mate"

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 32 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Pigs are actually really intelligent and not racist, so comparing police with pigs is offensive to pigs.

Holy shit that's a throwback. He got some really bangers like I I only fuck vegans and Veganism is yummy. Looks like he literally never stopped and keeps churning out a song at least once a week!

I mean, there are some where it's perfectly fine. Like mosquitos. Or parasitic wasps. ...

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

As someone who has two yard dogs on his farm, yes they're incredibly intelligent. They're the first things to greet me when I get home from work and love cuddles.

But the reason cops are called pigs is because the stereotypical "pig-cops" are generally fat and eat a lot. Which can confirm, my pigs are fat and eat a lot.

But unlike cops, pigs are horrifically fast. When they come in from the fields and want to run, they can RUN! If our hay fields get higher than they are it looks like the raptor scene from Jurassic Park 2

He will always be Pakalu Papito to me

[–] AyuTsukasa@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I'm confused is this a new guy using the same picture or did he change his name?

[–] lesnout27@feddit.org 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

There was a time on the other plattform, where everyone would comment "Fuck Xavier!" on posts like this, so i always thought it's someone who stole the Profile Pic and content, but i don't know for sure. All this happened a long time ago and seems to have been forgotten long since.

[–] Bongles@lemmy.zip 7 points 4 days ago

Yes, pakalu papito was the original account that used that picture and generally was funnier. Xavier is a copycat account that sort of just posts existing jokes.

[–] iocase@lemmy.zip 22 points 5 days ago (3 children)

And the french pigs don't pronounce 70% of the letters in Ouinque, just like the rest of the French language.

[–] notabot@piefed.social 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The extra letters are there to confuse the English, not be pronounced. It's a cunning plan to deal with the silly eenglish knigits!

The French call their cops "Les poulets" which means "The chickens"

[–] notabot@piefed.social 4 points 4 days ago

That's a fowl thing to call them!

[–] M137@lemmy.today 9 points 4 days ago

2000's pirates be like oink.cd

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

Didn't the French police take a kid's hand like last week?

[–] olenkoVD@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Who is this Xavier guy that appears in every Facebook comment meme that I've seen here!?

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

A meme that has been so beaten to death that it's rotting corpse has since disintegrated into the soil, but people have erected monuments to it so others can continue to wail on it with clubs and sticks and other blunt objects.

Japanese pigs go BuHi ブヒ

[–] tino@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago (2 children)

non. It's groin-groin or grouic-grouic

[–] pseudo@jlai.lu 2 points 4 days ago

Merci ! This meme makes me green every I see it.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

The Japanese is wrong too; they say buubuu.

The acute diacritic (like used above the ú in the meme) doesn't exist either.

[–] Caption_Mo@reddthat.com 3 points 4 days ago (2 children)

I don't speak French but wouldn't that basically be pronounced "wank"?

[–] lenocolomo@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Proud to be an english speaker.

[–] Slovene85@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

No. "Oin"/"Ouin" is a completly different nasal vowel that I wouldn't know how to write in english.

In this short video, you'll ear it a lot.

As an ex-cop from the US, I equally get a kick out of the "pig" memes and the "yank" memes; it seems people really enjoy them and they're neither harmful nor offensive. I only get confused when I occasionally realize that their users sometimes think it really hurts us.

[–] RFKJrsBrainworm@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Bastard...

Had to do it man...

So why are you an ex cop?

[–] HCSOThrowaway@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

The bastard one is a little more evocative, but:

  1. I know I'm not / wasn't one by any reasonable definition of "bastard"

  2. I know it comes from a misguided place of anger so it doesn't bother me a whole lot anyway

I end up just feeling... sad for the effect it has on driving decent people away from law enforcement, which of course raises the % of Bastards overall.

A kick in the groin-groin for French pigs.
