Gotta love how the Iranian gov cares about the US working class more than ours does.

Fuel goes bad; I’d love to pile up 300gal (I’d have to mortgage my house…) except lots of it would be unusable by the time I got to it.

I thought you could add something to it to make it last longer? Or am I thinking of something else?

It's called fuel stabilizer and it works for up to like a year or two depending on a lot of factors.

This is the part where vassal states get back in line, isn't it?

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 13 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Most likely, although they have nothing they can contribute here.

I don't think even that would work, Europeans don't really have much in terms of a standing army, and there aren't the necessary logistics to attempt some sort of a ground invasion of Iran.

win for the dumb plutocrat theory. if only they could foresee that the middle east is important for the petrodollar. maybe they would have been smart about venezuela.

Honestly the goal shouldn't be to stockpile but divest if you can. Invest in dry goods, canned goods, and proper storage. If you can, move closer to your community of choice. Talk to your neighbors. Secure safe water supply. As the system buckles, nobody knows how it will fall; stay light and ready.

Bury the beans out back, in case things get really bad
