Honestly it seems like investigating it now would be wasteful.

it's just harder to reinvestigate when the government won't move heaven and earth to protect (and pardon) the perpetrators.

Better to wait for a less corrupt legal infrastructure in a few years (or even after midterms).

And it never will until mein fehrer's gestapo is removed.

I have rather a lot of faith in the Minnesotan investigators. Despite federal roadblocks, those in Minnesota are very good people. They really are. They did their very best to do the right thing from the very start, including releasing public records, by order of Governor Tim Walz, that proved federal officers unquestionably committed murder, despite orders direct from ICE to withhold said video footage. All records prove this. One way or another, this is gonna get worked out. Eventually.

But those federal motherfuckers are gonna do everything they can to make it as hard and as long and as painful as possible. Especially as long as Trumpfuck is in office.

And that is yet another crime to be adjudicated. And one day, hopefully soon, these people will answer for their fucking crimes.

The videos are out there. We all saw the murder happen. One day, eventually, justice will come for those motherfuckers.

Lol, imagine still having faith in the American justice system. Are you 12?

[–] tabarnaski@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think the problem right now is not the justice system because the case is still at the investigation phase, and there seems to be a lot of obstruction going on.

[–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 day ago

Fair enough. Unfortunately, I don't think much will come of it.

[–] Dnb@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What else are you going to do?

[–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Organize? I dunno, I would have left by now, probably. The fascism alarms have been blaring for more than a decade.

Crazy I see 915 and they wrote the post about having 1000 in a month. Must delete a lot

It's called rounding, lol.

Plus .world mods have a hard time with objective reality, so they remove comments for misinformation, despite them being verifiable fact, like MTG calling Gaza a genocide before AOC.

[–] Dnb@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So leave which is similar to not voting... Great advice

[–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago

Yeah, would you leave Nazi Germany?

[–] WudgieLore@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Better off learning not to support a country that doesnt protect its people. U.s.a. is a joke

[–] Dnb@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes, leave the country with the largest army to the corrupt and fascist party. I'm sure that would go well long term.

Not to mention it's not easy at all to leave

[–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago

You don't beat fascists at the ballot box, as history has shown us again and again.

Isn't Fätter close to "father" in many languages? He's going to own that shit and start putting his I am jesus pics out again.

[–] phillycodehound@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Yep. Shameful!

[–] Bread@thelemmy.club 22 points 1 day ago

It was on video. What are they going to investigate? There were no charges.

[–] Dotdashdot@feddit.uk 37 points 2 days ago

Was that only 6 months ago?!? Feels like it happened years ago…. Which is entirely the point of the ceaseless waves of wrongdoing by the fascists. It’s why the corruption isn’t hidden anymore, they know people are too fatigued from all the crap to do anything about it. And if it isn’t stopped then there must not be anything wrong with it. God help this poor planet cause we sure as shit aren’t going to.

What's there to investigate? You can go watch them get murdered right now. It isn't exactly a who-dunnit. Getting charges, on the other hand, is another kettle of wax to keep in the hand.

[–] piskertariot@lemmy.world 29 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

They know. They keep saying if they lose the midterms they'll be punished for their crimes.

These are on the list.

Make sure they lose the midterms. We're all counting on you.

[–] FE80@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump lost in 2020 and nothing happened to him.

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 6 points 1 day ago

Literally started an insurrection and nothing fucking happened to him.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 day ago

Yeah, methinks they haven't rigged it as bad as they want everyone to believe. Elsewise why would they already be panicking?

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 5 points 1 day ago

I've seen what happened. They were shot. By ICE.

[–] NauticalNoodle@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

if it's ever properly investigated it won't be until the next administration. -That's a big "If." Fortunately there's no statute of limitations on murder.

[–] reddit_sux@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago

That's a dream, no administration ever investigates their own. The leaders might be suspended, the structure will remain, the lower ones might be removed or transferred to different departments.

Next administration be it Democrat or Republican won't do anything.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 11 points 1 day ago

The Trump Regime as a whole is guilty for the murders of Pretti-Good. Hopefully we will see the whole lot of them do a jig, on a rope.

[–] arin@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

Why would the Nazi government do a proper investigation?

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Nobody in normal law enforcement is ever held accountable, so why would these brown shirts.

The whole lot of ICE should be blacklisted for every job ever… well except maybe as a day laborer on a farm somewhere where some Hispanic guy is his supervisor.

[–] A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 2 days ago

I mean, everyone saw that they were straight up just executed. Sounds like a open and shut case

[–] FiniteBanjo@feddit.online 12 points 2 days ago

There is a push for state investigations and criminal charges for ICE agent Johnathan Ross, 43, but Federal Authorities are fighting it

[–] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yes, they are revolting...

*Edit: the fascists, not the victims. Just to be clear.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 7 points 2 days ago

It's tough to come to a conclusion when your paycheck depends on you NOT coming to a conclusion.

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Wow this is totally not what i expected to happen 6 months ago /s. Hope they get kicked out of office soon.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I posted this about the Supremacy Clause (federal vs state jurisdiction) when this happened https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Lk6tOvIu4qw. Investigation is different than prosecution though.
