Of course, this is the NY Post, so take the whole thing with a grain of salt.

oh, I believe some crazy person in MN thought he was possessed by the devil and killed his mom. I also believe that the Post was scummy enough to dig the story up and publish it.

it's not the the garbage the Post publishes is untrue, it's just that it's dumb, overdramatized crap that otherwise wouldn't really be newsworthy. basically, the predecessor to clickbait garbage that you see online nowadays.

I don't think trans people necessarily expect you to fully understand. how could anyone who isn't trans themselves really fully understand?

but they at least expect you to treat them with the same dignity and respect that you'd give to anyone else.

like... you saw a post get I'm assuming deleted because trans people were being discussed? where did this happen?

lmao, we get it. you don't know what you're talking about. you don't need to keep trying to convince us.

you're the one who wants to debate anything, and you're the one who brought up "renting" anything's when I never mentioned that. once again, demonstrating how you have no clue what you're talking about - and, obviously, no clue what i'm talking about, lol

troll on, troll...

we get it: you don't understand what the word "stealing" means, and making false accusations against me and slinging childish insults won't distract from the fact that what you're saying is nonsense, lol

tbf, teenage me would be pretty puzzled by a sassy pope from Chicago that keeps getting involved in American politics. also by how much middle-aged me agrees with that pope.

Don’t blame me because you don’t understand the definition of the word. Try reading the article and actually learning something, instead of deflecting from your ignorance, lol

The first known things pirated looks to have been software at some point in the 70's.

Are we gonna split hairs over ARPANET versus the Internet? For what was probably a couple of computer engineering students sharing a copy of Adventure between a couple of university VAX mainframes over an SSH connection…

😛

This was 25+ years ago for me when I lived in MPLS, but IIRC, there were lesbian bath houses, too (although not as many as ones for the guys), some that had "ladies' nights" and ones that had nights for trans people, too, depending on the bathhouse. sometimes it was more of a "mixed" night where everyone was welcome. a lot of bathhouses would do themed nights, one night for leather, one night for bdsm, that sort of thing. a trans night wasn't uncommon.

I wish I remembered more details, but it was a long time ago, and I did a lot more drugs back then, so my memory is a bit fuzzy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I tried using Claude to convert some bash scripts to docker compose files, and it made several mistakes with case-sensitivity and failure to properly encapsulate certain path declarations that had spaces in them. if it could make such incredibly simple mistakes in converting a script to a markup language, I wouldn't dare trust it to actually compose anything in an actual programming language like Python or Rust or C# or Swift whatever you're using.
