I'll get dragged, I'm sure, but if your plans for a mass movement rely on millions of people getting the equivalent of a masters degree in dialectical materialism, you're gonna have a bad time. Like, nothing against reading/studying, but you'll sway the masses with propaganda and exemplification. What I like best about anarchists, is precisely that they get out into the streets and do stuff. Not that reading and doing are mutually exclusive, but IME there's quite a lot of (negative) correlation. All I'm really saying, is let's all play to each others' strengths, and work together.

Good memes, bad memes, unite towards a united front.
No one is getting a masters in dialtectical materialism. You need to listen to 15 hours of audiobooks, tops, to have a basic handle on it, or 5 books. One month of 30min a day,
Yeah doing stuff is great, but if you're aimlessly doing the wrong stuff because it's shortsighted then you're wasting the energy that has been proven to bring about real long term change (revolution).
if you want to be taken seriously on a subject, people will expect you to be familiar with at minimum the broad strokes of the major arguments in and around that subject and be able to productively engage with discourse about them. on a broad subject like "how to make socialist revolution" this familiarity will likely come from reading a few books. that is a long way from "the equivalent of a masters degree".
is that... THE ANARCHIST CHINA KNOWER HAIR?!
Got an anarchist into our book club and she is not an anarchist anymore. She is however, a leftcom and I don't know if that's better. At least she is reading. Gabriel Rockhill wasn't fucking lying huh
It's a true hell pit getting out of liberal, bourgeois idealogy, the uncritical, unmethodical reactionary tendencies of anarchism, and then left communist deviations that disparage all existing socialist societies. Learning about dialectial materialism and really, really studying its emphasis as it pertains to real, socialist experiments and national contexts is what ultimately makes a revolutionary steadfast and resistant to counter-revolutionary and idealist trends that deviate from Marxism, the dictatorship of the proletarian, and the revolutionary path towards socialist development. It's tough out there. If you're a Westerner, there are a lot of roadblocks to reaching the Marxist Leninist, dialectical materialist foundation as the necessary toolset and methods to the revolutionary path. The bourgeoisie has its roots deeply embedded in everything, but being able to discern between things that promote the proletarian and popular classes' victory and those that blatantly support the bourgeoisie or create misperceptions about real anti-imperialist and revolutionary struggles will keep one on the right path. Having historical understanding of events that have transpired and led to current present conditions and developments is vital to understanding whether something is beneficial to the world socialist revolutionary movement or whether it's a farce that benefits imperialist hegemony.
Get her to read "Left wing Communism an Infantile Disorder" by Lenin
