I recently cleared mine off and the cat was so grateful for his new seat.
Wouldn’t he just sit anyway?
He does love sitting on laundry, but this was a mountain and very vulnerable to avalanche.
I replaced the chair with a little clothing rack from Ikea. It still looks the same but now it's justified.
And then you need the chair and move the whole pile to the bed, just to move it back in the evening. repeat for 10 years. Now that I've moved, everything will be better, i swear.
Simone Giertz embraced that idea and designed a chair for exactly that.
Fashion has gone too far.

This is why I've got two of those with hook things that you hang over the top of a door.
One chair? This is my whole room.

One hoodie is in case I get cold, and the other hoodie is in case I get really cold. The third is my emotional support hoodie.
