But what happens when the people in the lighter factory burn down the building?

One might also ask, if someone has this kink but they are not Republican, should they also feel shame because of this?

I looked like three times before checking the replies. I hate you all.

First of all…

Reddit reports that January to June 2025 marked the highest volume of requests the company has ever received in a single reporting period. Sixty-six percent of the 1,179 requests came from agencies in the U.S., including 423 subpoenas and 27 court orders. Reddit disclosed user data in 82 percent of those cases.

And so fuck Reddit, and why would Reddit have anyone’s name and address or what makes the feds think they do? At most they could have an email address and an ip address, which should then require further subpoenas to an ISP.

But if you read the whole article, this is pretty scary stuff the feds are doing by using this grand jury approach since their regular requests are being shut down by other judges.

Trump is mentally unstable. More news at 11.

I seem to recall reading something about victims who were going to come forward with their stories. This is probably their way of trying to control the narrative.

I feel bad for whoever owns you.com

Seems like it would be an innocent new agey spiritual affirmation kind of site. Actually, it’s probably some bullshit, so never mind.

Resistors are futile.

That might explain the toilet seat.

This is super sad. And their solution

Cutting the carbon dioxide pumped into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels to zero is the only way to halt global heating

But that’s not going to happen. I wonder if there is some other solution, like an artificial habitat. There’s less than 600,000 of them left, which is not a lot.

If you’ve never seen the movie March of the Penguins, I highly recommend it.

I’d like to host this on the Ubuntu Linux box in my home office and put a camera in my living room. Would like to be able to monitor the camera from an iPhone, and have it auto record on motion detection.

For external access though, I don’t have a domain name registered, and I’d rather not have one. I’d be happy to access this just using my external IP address. But I don’t know how “static” the IP address from my ISP is. (My router gets it via DHCP, but I don’t know how long those leases are, or if it re-uses the same IP when renewing.)

Edit: Also what is a good camera to use? Seems like a lot of these cams require registration with some shady service and their own app to view them. Which means that all of that is running through their hosted service, which I am trying to avoid.

I'm looking for something very similar to 90s Megadeth. Think "Skin of my Teeth." (Or possibly 90s Metallica or older Black Sabbath or 90s RATM.)

But with mainly the heavy low level bass, and palm muted guitar power cords, without so much of the mids or highs (like vocals and guitar solos.)

Like bass intensive but not super fast like Slayer or double-pedal drum stuff.

Any ideas?
