At no time did Iran ever claim that the Strait of Hormuz is “completely open“. Never. Not ever did they claim this.

Edit: lol "downvote all you want" they write, after adding a bunch of qualifications to their extremely inaccurate and inflammatory post that was easily debunked.
In the meantime since the declaration yesterday, dozens of tankers went through the Strait, illustrating it was open. Then the USA intercepted several of them... And now Iran has declared it closed again, exactly as they said they would if the tankers were intercepted. So now, as of 20 minutes ago, Iran has declared it closed again.

No, it’s that you don’t understand the reporting. Or you took Donald Trump‘s word for it, which was a huge mistake.
Iran has opened the strait for limited navigation, under their control by their navy. They have opened it with tolls. Not just anyone can pass through. Only those whom they approve can pass through. Which is a vague and undefined definition that can change at any time, at their whim.
So, yes, it seems like you’re either lying or don’t understand the news article you read.
Even your quote states some of the limited conditions under which ships can pass. Nothing about it is “completely open”. Its openness is extremely limited.

I am still missing some information in the article about what they mean by open. Does it mean ships can pass after paying between the Qeshm and Larak islands? Or between the islands free of charge? Or will they remove all of the mines so the strait would be actually open as it was?
There is no possible reading of that article that could lead an intelligent person to that conclusion.
