Long time since I played, so I get wanting to nerf special land cards, but what is the tap adding? Im not familiar with that symbol in mtg.

It's colorless mana. You can use it to pay generic mana costs, and some costs explictly require colorless mana, like [[Deceiver of Form]]

Oh im used to to a 1 in a circle. Thanks.

The number in a circle format means "mana of any color," whereas the curvy-diamond [?] shape is specifically colorless mana. You can use colorless mana to pay a mana-of-any-color cost, but you can't use colored mana to pay for something that requires colorless.

Ok I quit before anything required colorless mana.

The tap adds colorless mana, which is often used to pay generic mana costs.

Reminds me a lot of Alpine Moon. The big difference is that this card can't be countered, though the ETB trigger still can be countered unlike Alpine Moon which has no ETB trigger (it uses a replacement effect).

Even with this card's templating using an ETB trigger instead of a replacement effect, this still feels like a very strong Alpine Moon.

Edit: I should also add that Alpine Moon removes land types, so unlike Petrified Hamlet, it can prevent the opponent from having the three required lands for Tron.
