Several current and former officials blame intense pressure from the White House.

Acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Todd Lyons has been hospitalized at least twice for stress-related issues as he has carried out Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration agenda — strain that has caused him to struggle to make key decisions for the agency, according to two current and two former administration officials.

During these episodes, the current and former officials said they saw Lyons break out into a full sweat, with his face turning deep red. They also attributed the source of the pressure to ramp up deportations to the White House and top adviser Stephen Miller, who yelled at Lyons during morning phone calls with administration officials, according to four people who were on the calls. Other officials disputed that Miller yelled at Lyons, with one saying the deputy chief of staff was merely “passionate.”

Miller didn’t respond to a request for comment. But the attempt to blame Miller is the latest example of continued infighting among administration figures over immigration policy — even after former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and some of her aides have departed the agency.

My job as head brown shirt is too hard! Feel bad for me!

He just wanted to get rich from corruption and human suffering. Now he's big sad! ☹️

[–] bradinutah@thelemmy.club 3 points 6 months ago

"They are blaming me for these 'bad' results! They aren't taking any personal responsibility. I don't understand! They say I'll be the next scapegoat if things go wrong, just like Greg Bovino."

  • too dumb to realize that you're also just another body to burn out and throw into detention so that they can make money off you.

You should have an option to insert an image at the top of the comment box entry if using the web, not idea if you are using an app. It usually looks like a couple mountains with a sun or moon over it like this.

Seriously, have you ever see PeeWee Himmler in a rant? He fancies himself to be a Hitler-style orator, but he ALWAYS comes off as just a Screeching Weenie.

MAGAs are intimidated by him, but everybody else thinks he's hilarious, in a "What a fucking putz" kind of way. He has no authority or power beyond what Trump allows him as an advisor, so nobody really cares what he thinks except Trump, and MAGA. He never really tries to engage with Democrats, because he knows he would be humiliated in public, so he carefully stays in the MAGAspere. Thus, a lot of people don't even know who he is.

We have to change that, and make PeeWee Himmler one of the many issues on the ballot in the Midterms. Put his photo on the TV screen with his most Nazi statements, and position him as Trump's Wormtail, whispering poison into the demented old man's ear. He may very well be the most repellent human on the planet (somebody has to be, and I submit it's him), and to know him at all is to despise him for the frightened little Hitler he thinks he is.

Hitler also comes off that way to people who aren't fascist morons.

His cronies called him a Teppichfresser (carpet-chomper) when he'd go on one of his tirades and throw himself to the floor while losing his shit.

Not a carpet-muncher, that's a different and useful pastime.

Puke blood and live in agony you Nazi fuck.

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.ml 5 points 6 months ago

This. I hope his "conscience" tortures him to madness.

[–] MushuChupacabra@piefed.world 32 points 6 months ago

Well Todd, you work for Team Evil at an upper management level. Which part of the job did you think would be good for the soul- the work, or the team you'd be working with?

Two in the thoughts, one in the prayers.

[–] EndOfLine@lemmy.world 31 points 6 months ago

Oh no. I hope that his allegiance with the Trump administration does not result in a miserable life filled with increasingly deteriorating health and ultimately an early death. That would be unfortunate.

That must have been the moment it dawned on him that he's now a high-ranking nazi...

[–] some_designer_dude@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago

That wasn’t stress. He was climaxing.

Bill Nothing here, just excited to get you started for orientation. Here is a pair of Happy Knees, your regulation genital cuff, there's a shortage of ball gags but Linda in the kitchen has an assortment of citrus fruit that we're using for the moment. Your gimp suit is probably a size too small but you'll just have to make it work, we're at war after all. Let's see... Oh your badge and standard issue firearm, a full contingent of body armor, three hundred extra small condoms, a utility belt of pump bottles for lube, lotion, petroleum jelly, hand sanitizer and barbecue sauce... I think that covers it.

Day one orientation will include a full body cavity search of Stephen Miller himself, and you will be graded on thoroughness, depth and aggression.

Oh, one last thing, when Stephen yells at you, you have to make it seem like you're afraid, or stressed out. Afterwards he will insist that you stroke his head and sing lullabies to him while he cries into the ceremonial tear bowl. President Trump often enjoys watching that part, so don't be surprised. Also please list any dependents on your HR intake form and asterisk any that are under twelve. That's it, welcome to ICE, Secretary Twilitsky.

[–] TwilitSky@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

I like The Onion article: Miller assures Susie Wiles he has a fridge full of healthy breasts she can use.

Dude, it is not hard to make the correct decisions here. His stress is entirely self made.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I think if Peewee German yelled at me I would laugh my ass off.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 6 months ago

PeeWee Himmler

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago

Boo hoo cry more.

Suffer as you deserve to suffer.

[–] Insekticus@aussie.zone 9 points 6 months ago

That's a really tough one. I don't normally recommend this for people struggling, but maybe he should go kill himself. It would definitely relieve the stress and make everyone around him and the majority of humans around the world happy.

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

Oh no.........anyway

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

I find it stressful to live in a country where his goons can murder me or deport me for no reason at all. And I have no hope for any justice.

Fuck his stress. I hope it tortures him to madness.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 7 points 6 months ago (1 children)

MAGA is no place with someone with such recalcitrant morality. You have to be a proud Sociopath, and if you're going to hang with the big PedoCons at the top, you better be prepared to be a Psychopath. Face it, dude, you don't have what it takes to be a MagaManiac, and that's okay. It's time to go.

Now, sabotage EVERYTHING before you leave. Permanently brick their computer system, to start with.

[–] witten@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Read the article. It has nothing to do with morality. He's only stressed because of all the pressure he's under to kidnap ridiculous numbers of brown people.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 6 months ago

Valid. I hope his heart explodes while PeeWee Himmler is screaming at him. That would be a fun investigation, and PeeWee could be charged with negligent manslaughter, maybe worse.

[–] TaeKwonDoh@lemmy.world 6 points 6 months ago

Hurting and killing people takes a toll on mental health. Who woulda thought?

[–] new_world_odor@lemmy.world 5 points 6 months ago

Hell yeah. Suffer more, bitch. That gave me a great start to the morning, seeing that. I hope he has a heart attack. Or a full blown stroke. Maybe a grand mal seizure. Stress is really bad for your body, especially at a high level for extended time. I hope that's the only state he gets to experience for the rest of his miserable existence.
