Gideon Saar was speaking on Tuesday at an international conference on antisemitism in Jerusalem.

The eliminiation of the Israeli state doesnt have to cause a second holocaust. Just go back to where you, your parents and your grandparents lived before you invaded other peoples homes.

But it's way easier to kill some people in the Middle East and give their land away than taking actual responsibilty for the Holocaust.

And more profitable 💰

Netanyahu would have to go back to Philadelphia

Sir, Philadelphia is on the line. They say it's urgent.

[–] gobbles_turkey@lemm.ee 1 points 10 months ago

great, just what the US needs.

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

I'm willing to compromise.

The people born there can stay, but they have to become Palestinian.

That’s some expert-level DARVO right there.

"Does israel have a right to exist?"

The answer to this is: did nazi Germany have a right to exist?

[–] jsomae@lemmy.ml 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I wonder if we can find a new way of describing the notion of "Israel existing." It seems opponents believe we mean killing the occupants of Israel or (somehow removing the area entirely) rather than reforging the state itself. It's not like we don't want the geographical region to continue existing.

Israel has a right to become Palestine again.

[–] jsomae@lemmy.ml 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Generally I'm not interested in what Israel as the right to become. I would rather "Israel doesn't have the right to not be Palestine" (phrased better, perhaps?)

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 0 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Israel has to become something. It can't stay the way it is.

Allowing it to become Palestine again is just the compromise position.

[–] jsomae@lemmy.ml 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Good point. Still, "not having the right to exist" sounds to me -- and more importantly, to those undecided on the issue -- like it's encouraging the destruction of the things that are in Israel, not the entity of Israel itself. Which is obviously not a take that's likely to attract support.

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 0 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (3 children)

That's why I say it has a right to become Palestine. It will still exist, sort of, but in a revolutionary new form.

And Israelis can become Palestinians.

Assuming they aren't just settlers that moved there recently to steal land, of course.

What Israel has a right to do is not relevant. America has the right to become part of Canada. Israel remaining as it is is the problem -- and more to the point, the problem is that people don't see that as the problem.

Oh but it's okay when Israel does it? Fucking hypocrites.

[–] Grumpyleb@lemmus.org 26 points 10 months ago

They can all fuck right off. There is so much I'd like to say but I cannot because I will be accused of inciting violence. Funny how Right wing and zionist incitement is allowed on social media, but when anyone left leaning says anything immediate bans. I'm hoping something of biblical proportions happens in Israel. Maybe it will turn into a self fulfilling prophesy, anyway, these are words, I can't encourage anyone other than any gods out there to rain sulfer and all that. I sympathise with the left wing Jews in Israel, but unfortunately, the genocide continues and this is their governement. Much like Maga now is, like it or not, the face of America, well Genocide is now the face of Israel.

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 25 points 10 months ago

Stopping me from doing genocide is literally genocide.

Israel is basically a rich kid with a dad who bails him out for ramming people with his Ferrari on a main street and still wants people to feel bad about his trauma

[–] Makhno@lemmy.world 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Good. Fuck israel. I hope to see it burn.

[–] Lyra_Lycan@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 10 months ago

The irony is this violence is not from you. It spawned from Israel's own actions. And when will they learn that their actions have consequences

[–] sparky@lemmy.federate.cc 7 points 10 months ago

Well not to split hairs, but seeing as they are currently perpetrating Second Holocaust, it would have to be more like Third Holocaust. But the problem with the Israeli comments is that unarmed civilians aren’t very effective at holocausts.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Second holocaust?

Dude, you are committing the second holocaust, so that technically would be the third.

Having said that, aren't you kind of the reason why that would happen in the first place? Israel has had more than enough opportunities to make peace with everyone around it a hundred times over and so far all it has done is investing in making sure that shit got worse, like actually funding Hamas so that they could fight Hamas harder.

You dug your own grave here, I won't push you in it, but I also won't cry for you if you decide to jump in it

[–] jsomae@lemmy.ml 4 points 10 months ago

assuming holocaust=genocide, then this is not the second. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_genocides

[–] AnalogNotDigital@lemmy.wtf 2 points 10 months ago (5 children)

Maybe, just maybe, if you wanted to exist peacefully with your neighbors you'd stop indiscriminately bombing civilians and violating their civil rights.

Those people deserve to live in peace just as much as you. Stop being the aggressor. It's not fucking hard.

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

Palestinians deserve peace a lot more than their colonizers.

[–] Tangentism@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

Go educate yourself on how Israel came into being in the first place.

It wasn't through peacefully asking Palestinians to share the land but by three groups, who gleefully wore the title of "terrorists" that bombed & killed their way into terrifying the populace.

It wasn't the Palestinians that planted a bomb in the King David Hotel that killed 96 in 1947. It wasn't Palestinians that carried out atrocities such as throwing babies into ovens in Deir Yassin and Tantura.

Israel was born out of collaboration with colonisers & imperialists, through selling out other Jews who opposed zionism, through a thousand acts of indiscriminate terrorism against the indigenous population and through an apartheid system since.

Bbbbbut what about October 7th?!!!

It's history equivalence is the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising but Israel ain't the oppressed fighting back.

[–] Sandouq_Dyatha@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

breaking into someone's home and stealing it doesn't make you their neighbor

"This latte is cold, this is a second holocaust, and antisemitic."

Yes, clearly Israel is using their weapons for defensive purposes, and if more weapons arent provided (for um defense, or course), All Israelis are under threat of annhialation.

Tired of the israeli government using jews as a meat shield.

[–] GenkiFeral@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

it certainly hurts Jews all over the world - many of whom are also against what is being done to Palestinians.
