My overlap between the two has always been "the reason authoritarianism isn't working is because its not authoritarian enough".

This is also something capitalism does with 'privatized/corporate authoritarianism'. "The reason the economy isn't working is because the plutocrats are not given enough free reign over society"

Like at the end of the day there's two groups of thought: "the public is good at decision making" or "the public is bad at decision making" and pretty much everything falls out of that core asumption.

Hold up. "Communism doesn't work because republicans do things" is an overlappping belief between communists and republicans, also. Which I would argue is somewhat of an admission of something.

But yeah its definitely "Republicans can't fail, they can only be failed." Which is a great accountability system.

Stuffing industry bribes into a bag Damn bro, I can't believe Biden is doing this.

Edit: have you tried Nature Supplement Corporation's all natural cattle health crystals?

It looks like the inner curtain isn't bunched up. My guess would be the curtains were to the left and the cat bunched up the outer curtain at the end.

Looks like 9 folds about 4" long each so maybe 2-3 ft wide windows if these are single curtains. Usually this style is double though so it could be half a wider window. Also I think that's the corner of the window frame near the cats tail.

Under the cats neck you can see the support. I think they're usually listed as double curtain rod systems

Idk I think Islam sees Jesus as like Moses II? There's a bit of retconning there.

I'd love if there was some type of religious git hub that tracked religions like they were code bases being patched by religious figureheads and noting what code was emphasized on each branch.

Ok but if jesus flew over the seas to another place and got an extra story how much extra fanfic before its essentially a new guy. Imo once you add chapters you've invented Jesus 2.0

"Mormon business owners would rather weaponize the police than return stolen goods." Great job Utah Police for protecting criminals.

I hate that I'm asking but what were the 'crazy things'?

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I tend to find people who are a bit crazy/conspiracy brained tend to easily accept other people's motives as being insane as their own reasoning.

Similar to how one can't logic themselves into a position they fought against logic to get into, I don't think people can usually empathize their way out of a position they fought against empathy to get into.

Imo that's why ridicule is maybe more effective even though it will entrench some of them. The conspiracy aspect is hardest to explain with raw quantity though. Its like "there are like 10-20 million people in america who interface with NASA and plane pilots and like 200 million americans who interact with airlines and can vouch for every flight path, you think all these people are all in cahoots?" Because getting like 10 people to all show up a job and work together on a day is tough business. Getting 10,000 million+ together to play an elaborate prank for 500 years would cost more than the GDP of planet earth.

I'm trying to work out how to model the destruction of the towers using glizzies. What would I have to build the towers out of if I wanted to throw hotdogs at them to destroy them?

Cardboard is obviously too strong. Wax paper has too much tensile strength but crumples satisfactorily. Does anyone have ideas on what I should use as the tower materials?

My work is willing to buy a headset for me for zoom. I'm looking for the following

  • Bluetooth/wireless
  • Durable/Repairable
  • Good battery life
  • Good mic quality
  • Syncing multiple devices is a plus
  • USB dongle required (work pc doesn't have bt)
  • Over Ear

Current top choices: -previous one was a plantronics voyager but it failed after a year. Might try another similar one, anyway. If anyone has better ideas though I'm all ears.

I'd like to see what drugs the original poster is on when making a post.
