Hey we are twins. Same thing I was banned for 2 or so years ago.
Welcome to the club. I said, "Remember, if you see a Nazi, punch a Nazi.", as a play on if you see something, say something.
I decided not being able to comment or post is not a big loss, but I do still read over there.

Yep. I picked up 2 temp bans, a sub permanent ban, and then a total ban after 16 years once Reddit went public. All of that in two months. I haven’t changed but the world sure did. One of them was me showing the medical gear you should carry to attend the first No Kings rally. I was “inciting violence” and got banned from my cities /r

I got bans for checks notes using an anonymizer and deleting an account, then on a new account being told I broke rules for using an anonymizer on a linked account and getting sitewide banned for it because I was "evading bans."
Can't wait to anonymize my new throwaway and then request deletion through the california privacy law enabling it.
They have a ton of tech to track you down. I just gave up the app all together. I don’t even click on the goggle search results for Reddit anymore.
I wish there was a browser addon which would create bogus ai slop comments and just save them as drafts.
Admittedly I wish this was built into RES and just happened randomly across reddit. The ai misinformation war needs to start to punish the companies selling user data imo.

.ml will only really ban you for being too liberal/right-wing. You can go as far left as you want on that instance, including calling for the complete systematic extermination of all capitalists and all of their pets, like the nazis.

I got banned from news@lemmy.world for calling out nazi sympathizers. Granted I did call them cunts, so YMMV.
At this point anyone who isnt banned by at least a few .world spaces is a nazi sympathizer.
The person you responded to is a liar though. No one was sympathizing with Nazis in any way and they came in telling people to kill themselves. They were banned completely justifiably.
You would definitely say that. You haven't ever suffered from the failure that is humanizing fascists. Humanzing them is sympathizing with them. They choose to not be human. Heck theyre proud to not be human.
It's more insulting to them to call them human, as that implies youre on the same thing as them, something they objectively do not believe.

No, I personally do not think we should execute humans under any circumstance. However fascists are not human.
They, again, choose not to be. And as the paradox of intolerance states, we cant really accept them in human communities.
Dehumanization is something they voluntarily did to themselves. You cant even say they were tricked or duped into it. We're in the information age. Practically all adults in the us have made it past 8th grade. They chose to believe they weren't human like us. I'm simply honoring their wishes and beliefs.
This is just a semantic trick you think you can use to stay holier than thou and also kill people who deserve it. Doesn't work that way. Humans can only become not human by dying and becoming dust again. Semantic tricks don't change that. I sense this conversation will go even more poorly from here so I'm blocking you for my mental health.

I certainly believe them. I have been banned on reddit for some of the mildest shit. If you call out lying scumbag right wingers you will be banned on any corporate social media. If you lie and spread right wing hatred, you will be left alone as long as you stop short of breaking specific rules.
I rarely see right wing nonsense outside of twitter and substack. Everywhere else it's just "leftists" (actually FEDS trying to set the tune in a violent key for people left-of-center) inciting violence on "nazis".

My very first suspension was agreeing that it is always okay to punch a Nazi. That's how I first found out that there is some controversy about intolerance of Nazis.
Unfortunately Reddit is run by group that prefers the nazis to be rampant on their website, despite what they say in their TOA and so on.
Funny, a world mod banned me from a comminity for the exact same reason.
Their ideology is literally violence against the vulnerable.
