Camacho was actually a fairly good president compared to your current guy. Consider:

He appointed an expert to fix a problem he couldn't and actually took his advice.

He was willing to course correct when new information was presented to him.

I don't believe that President Camacho was a disgusting pedo.

Except Camacho was actually humble and driven entirely by duty. So much so that when they found someone he knew was smarter than him he was fully ready to give up his office. It was a matter of practicality and not ego for him.
