You may have different goals than mine, perhaps you've already found what you're looking for ... but if you are still searching, I believe that the most stable forms of employment soon shall be the aforementioned industry of "Unfuckery".
Y'see, if there's one thing we know about all that clanker slop bullshit ruining our economy, it's that its alleged competency cannot be trusted. Especially in scenarios where things have gone an unexpected way... because AI as it currently stands is 'trained' on the basis of regression to the mean: most of the time, shit ain't fucking up. Whenever it encounters any unexpected exception, and there is not sufficient examples in its training data of dealing with such a contingency, that's where we get silly garbage like "recommended rocks per day for pregnant women to eat" and "recipe for a pizza that includes white glue".
Whenever it does that, a human has to swoop in and fix it.
Whenever a human is stranded in some way that AI cannot handle because it has no capacity for actual creativity but rather just a firehose of contextual regurgitation of stuff that already exists, a human has to swoop in to fix it.
And whenever a company's systems crash because they depended on slop code shat out by a hallucination bot without actually knowing how it's even supposed to work or what it really does, you better believe a human has to swoop in to fix it, and they'll pay almost any price to get their income source rolling again.
So if you can find a place whose job it is to answer that call, you're going to have plenty of work to do. Or, even when there isn't a ton of work to do, there's always another big stupid clusterfuck of incompetence just around the corner that will need SOMEBODY -- not SOMETHING -- to Step UP.
You Can Be "Somebody", Comrade!
(that specific type of somebody, i mean; i know you're already somebody and you have intrinsic value!)
You can have a front row seat to big corporate eating their words.
That is very insightful indeed
