I've noticed that most anime have 20-minute episodes, so I've decided to start finding shows that go higher than that. Obviously, a lot of shows have double-feature episodes (such as RIN: Daughters of Mnemosyne), but here's the top 5 I've been able to find.

  1. Made in Abyss: "The Challengers", "Gold" [reportedly around 60 minutes each]

  2. Hellsing: Ultimate: "Hellsing X" [67 minutes]

  3. Pluto: "Episode #1.1" [71 minutes]

  4. Oshi no Ko: "Mother and Children" [82 minutes]

  5. Key: The Metal Idol: "System" [97 minutes]

Please do not recommend episodes that are below an hour in runtime.

I'm pretty sure Endless Eight was only one episode, but I did get a sense of deja vu from it.

Um... no.

For better of worse, Endless Eight was eight full episodes. They seemed identical, but the actual point was that they only seemed identical and were in fact not.

And I'm reasonably certain that the underlying point, ill-considered though it might've been to try to make it the way they did, was specifically to frustrate viewers by repeating the same events eight times, to really drive home the point that Yuki experienced those same events, with the same full awareness of the repetition, 15,532 times.

No, no. You've got it wrong.

Endless Eight was certainly only a single episode. I would remember if it was more.
