Imagine being so biased that you are completely blind to the facts.

Yeah, maybe an unfair point to make since I had the screen on for ~8 hours a day. My bad. I was being overly negative anyway. I'm 100% happy with my phone.

Any DNS provider is good if they offer an API that lets you use PUT to modify DNS records. You can make a small bash script and crontab it. I also used DuckDNS for a while, and it worked fine.

It will still happen, but it's not going to happen overnight, you know.

It has the Firefox extension "Wallabagger", open-source and all. You just have to create a token in Wallabag, link it, and then it works like a charm. Doesn't work exactly like OP wants though.

Anyone else had any problems with the USB-C port on the Fairphone 4? It seems to need replacing about once a year. Is there a fix for it? I read on a forum that there is a slight gap that causes the port to move slightly with usage, causing it to wear out quicky. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my Fairphone 4; I just replaced the battery, back cover, and USB-C port this week. The only other complaint I have, is the battery: it's low capacity and was pretty much unusable after 2.5 years of usage. Probably still the best phone I've owned, even with all it's flaws, and I plan on using it for another 4-5 years at least. Have to stockpile on USB-C ports or wedge a piece of plastic in the gap.

Off-topic: bought a flip case with card holders for 35€, but it was originally 50€?! What sort of math is that? It takes 3-5€ to make it. But it was the only one that was available and now I don't have to carry around a wallet at least.

That would imply that he wasn't suicidal before. If chatgpt didn't exist he would just use Google.

Pretty much everyone I know uses AI daily, so there definitely is demand for it. You're living in an information bubble and don't know how commonplace it truly is.

Does anyone have any experience with HuggingFace TTS models in Firefox? I know that there is a mobile application that allows you to change your default TTS engine to one of the models. I also know of an old method to get different, better-sounding TTS to work in Firefox. I think I was also able to get the Microsoft voices working through the same method with some workarounds, but I'm unable to provide a link. Any advice would be much appreciated.

They should also add support for Unified push. More apps need to embrace it! Currently there are no notifications at all.

I bet that if they use the correct technologies (LIDAR and laser guidance systems), they would be a lot safer than regular drivers. Of course, computers make mistakes, but humans also don't have the best track record in terms of driving safety. You're technically not wrong though.

It's just 2 programmers from what I'm aware. When you go to donate they say that the goal is 5000€/month, but they usually fall drastically short of that.

I've joined a few communities, but most seem to be pretty dead. Any recommendations would be welcome. Size doesn't matter, all that matters is that they are active.

For me with the high models it takes like 20-30 second pauses and if the text is long enough then it just stops completely.

So I'm considering just using excel to keep track of all my expenses and income, but is there a better solution? What do you use to track how you spend money? I want something from which I can freely export the data if need be so excel is tempting.

This is really frustrating. Anyone else experience something similar? I should really file a bug report. Oh well, guess I'm just stuck with the good ole browser for now.

Anyone keep diaries in Obsidian? How do you format the filenames/directories and the notes themselves? My current formatting for the filenames is "/Daily Notes/DD-MMMM-YYYY". Don't have many plugins right now, but I'm open to suggestions. It's kind of frustrating that the notes in the diary are not ordered in a good way, but what can you do, it's not too much of an issue. I also tag all my notes. If anyone has any experiences with journaling in Obsidian then let me know what you've learned in that process.

A list of useful plugins would be much appreciated!

Yet another reason to avoid z-lib

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but I'm just wondering, what your opinions are about lichess and chess.com? Lichess is a nonprofit and open-source and seems more ethical to me, but chess.com has more features. I've been using chess.com for years, but thinking of switching over to lichess or some other application.
