Hey @KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com I'd personally like to request this post be stickied/pinned for a month as this hearing by the European Parliment is likely to have cascading effects for gamers both in Canada and worldwide.

As such I personally believe that this post should be pinned so that gamers here on the fediverse have a fair chance to be informed and learn about what impacts this may have when it comes to the ownership of their games and digital goods.

Just curious but what differentiates this from Librewolf?

Looking at the releases it looks like Konform might be a mix of a Librewolf and Firefox fork

Konform Releases Page as of April 16, 2026

Currently I don't see strong reasons to use this over Librewolf as it's a much younger forked project but I could be convinced otherwise.

Requesting to put the murderer and sexual assulter's name Timothy Hudson in the headline.

Current post title:

Florida teenager charged with sexually assaulting and killing stepsister Anna Kepner on cruise ship

I don't see why the victim's name gets publicized while the asshole gets a freepass in their actions.

In some cases where terrorists want publicity for their actions publicizing their name is actually the wrong decision. Here I believe it is the opposite.

The public should know who this guy is so that Timothy Hudson can never escape from their consequences. Plus it protects citizens in the off-hand chance this guy escapes or is released from prison.

I miss Bee and Puppycat💔

Time for a rewatch❤️

This is one of the greatest websites I've been lucky to learn about😮‼️

Thanks for sharing my dude!🫡🙌

Well...just in case here are some alternatives cause I certainly can't predict what will come of this decision.

Alternatives

I'm genuinely really tired of AI being shoved into everything.

At this point if anyone wants whatever AI/LLMs provide, you do you; I'm not gonna stop you.

I'm just gonna move on and continue to adapt cause it really seems like it'll be shoved into anything, (especially things closest to proprietary products/services); without rhyme or reason until morale improves or the bubble collapses.

We've put off essential upgrades, to keep doing so will make it either more expensive down the road or mean we close some of our amazing facilities.

This stuff makes the city more awesome, take a look at some of the proposals, like a new 50 Meyer pool, another bike lane through Stanley Park, more park area by the Broadway plan, more biodiversity and reclamation at lost lagoon etc.

In city council, your vote and voice matter like crazy so let 'em know what you think! It takes a couple moments and impacts where we live!

With this I'm hoping that even just a fraction of our MPs look at this and for a second, consider passing some legislation that'll incentivize Canadians to also buy ebikes and ecargo bikes.

Less cars on the road = happier commuters, hopefully better people friendly infrastructure (especially for cyclists), healthier people, air, and cities.

I'm hoping but at the same time I don't expect this to become a reality anytime soon unfortunately.

What’s at stake is whether “protecting children” becomes a legal pretext for embedding government control over the internet to enforce specific moral and religious judgments—judgments that deny marginalized people access to speech, community, history, and truth—into law.

Adding to the recent controversy surrounding Intel Arc GPU support—or lack thereof—in Crimson Desert, gamers recently flagged a very peculiar in-game painting, among other assets, as evidence of use of generative AI in the game. The image depicted a battlefield filled with cavalry, but many of the soldiers and their horses were blended into one another, and there were general inconsistencies in the image that stood out as being AI-generated. Despite the almost obvious use of generative AI, Pearl Abyss did not use Steam's generative AI disclosure on the Crimson Desert store page. Now, three days after the AI-generated in-game art was discovered, Pearl Abyss has issued a statement, via the @CrimsonDesert_ account on X, acknowledging that it was AI-generated but also claiming that the artwork was not meant to make it into the final game.
