Where does that funding come from?

I've had great jobs, introducing yourself at meetings that include people you don't know is just part of it

I have done this innumerable times at multiple jobs. Maybe it happens a lot more than you think

Are we reading the same article? It says it was a counterprotester who threw this into the right-wing group

Not necessarily, Iran wasn't taking the threat from Israel and the US seriously when Khamenei the elder was assassinated, but they certainly are now. I think it depends on how much intel Israel is still getting from inside Iran

This is literally George W. Bush's fault, he's the one who pushed the DST changes several weeks earlier in the spring and later in the fall in 2005. This and Hurricane Katrina happened at the same time.

The bill requires that a voter's name match their birth certificate, and many women (and some men) changed their names when they got married.

Hegseth's father was a basketball coach for high schools across Minnesota before retiring in 2019; his mother is an executive business coach who has taught with the Minnesota Excellence in Public Service (MEPS) Series, a fellowship and leadership program for Republican and center-right women.

She'd probably say "You've always been a disappointment to this family. You should've gone to war with Iran last year."

it was never meant as a directed/individualistic comment

You should probably have said something like "my bad" and explained yourself then, rather than insult people who read your words and all took the same thing away from them. Your intentions are meaningless when your words don't explain them

"How willing have you been to go and put your life on the line to stop these atrocities?"

Literally puts life on line to help others

"Why are you so stupid that you don't understand my rhetorical device?"

You could just say "good work" and move on rather than debase yourself like this

Thank you for this. TMS has been around for a long time now and this is not news

They're not thinking that far ahead

The Federal Aviation Administration has closed airspace over El Paso and parts of southern New Mexico for 10 days under a national defense designation, offering no explanation for the rare move. The FAA order states aircraft violating the restriction could face interception and possible use of deadly force.

This must be what it felt like to develop a frontal lobe in 2016 when Lil Yachty, Lil Pump and and the other Lil rappers were blowing up.

This is great news for our city. Urban Alchemy demonstrated they were run like a criminal enterprise, and kept people silent through retaliation and intimidation. There's a mountain of "allegations" against them, I'm glad something finally stuck. Kudos to the city for taking this step, other cities are having similar problems with them but haven't gone this far yet.

The evidence released so far suggest Tyler Robinson could potentially be linked to a movement like the Order of Nine Angles or 764.

"For the last couple of decades, we’ve been using this term sustainability. The inference of sustainability is we’re going to be able to maintain things, and that’s just not realistic,” UT-Austin’s urban ecosystems expert Stuart Reichler said. “The more realistic idea is one of resilience. We have to adapt. We’re already fucked.”

"The Safeway circular has treated me very badly. They say you can taste the homestyle difference, but you cannot, and there’s no way that ham can be $8.99 per pound after I brought grocery prices to an all-time low. However, that’s nothing compared to the horrendous ham prices we saw under Biden.”

Indeed CEO Hisayuki "Deko" Idekoba sent a message to employees stating that roughly 1,300 positions will be eliminated from the company.

"AI is changing the world, and we must adapt by ensuring our product delivers truly great experiences for job seekers and employees," Idekoba's email stated. "Delivering on this ambition requires us to move faster, try new things, and fix what's broken."

Idekoba said the layoffs will impact...those within the Research and Development, Global Operations, and People and Sustainability sectors.
